Dispelling the Myth of Who can be called as a Voice of God

There is a group of people who are strong believers in the rumors that only those selected can call themselves or ever be recognized as a voice for God.  They think that you need to possess a degree or diploma or be anointed by other men.  While in the past this was also my belief it is not so now and had I not stumbled upon this revelation, I would still be pushing this lie. Who can be called as a voice of God, anyone with a very strong desire to spread the “Good News” and the convictions to endure all of the pain and suffering that will comes from doing so.  Yes that means you and you do not need any piece of paper to do so.  Forget the labels and remember the sacrifice.

If you believe so strongly in the Old Testament and often quote it to prove your point of how God feels about everything, you must also be willing to accept the entire Old Testament as the true path to perfection and not just a few verses here and there to make you appear like you really know what you are talking about.  The same must also be said about people like myself regarding acceptance of the entire scriptures of the New Testament as the real guide to everlasting life.  Well let me put your little minds at rest, make no mistake my friends that is just what I am prepared to accept, are you?  Pity those who think that theirs is the only requirement necessary to be a voice for God because they miss a very large point of the discussion.  Believe me not, pick up your Bible and read Hebrew Chapter 7 then make your decision.
Chapter 7 tells us that Jesus was a priest in the style of Melchizedek.  Melchi Zedek was first introduced to us in the 14th Chapter of Genesis.  He was believed to be “the king of Salem which means king of peace”.  Now why is it important that you know this is because Abraham, known as the Father of Israel, collected tithes and paid a tenth of those tithes to Melchi.  So who was this Melchi Zedek to Abraham who saw him as such an authority that he paid tithes to him?  Most experts still don’t not know nor can proof be found of his birth, his parents or his death.  Could Melchi Zedek be none other than God Almighty himself manifested in the form of man?  Remember now he did make man in his image and the Bible does say that Melchi Zedek resembled Jesus.  So who better to resemble the father than the son? But that’s another subject for another time.  Let’s get back to the point of this lesson.

Acceptance of the Old Testament as the only guide to a perfect union means you must be willing to accept the entire scriptures and not pick and choose so try this on for size.  It was believed that those only from the tribe of Levi were able to become the voice of God, Melchi Zedek was not from the tribe of Levi yet was more able than even Abraham, and so what does that say?  Now also consider that in Psalms, which is part of the Old Testament, it is prophesied by King David speaking of Jesus, “You are a priest forever in the order of Melchi Zedek”.  How about the description of because he never died his priesthood lives on and “therefore he is able, once and forever, to save those who come to God through him.  He lives forever to intercede with God on their behalf.  (Hebrew Chapter 7 verse 25).

So I say to you, God Almighty visited this world in the form of man called Melchi Zedek and Jesus became a priest in the style of Melchi “not by meeting the physical requirement of belonging to the tribe of Levi, but by the power of a life that cannot be destroyed”. So as Jesus could be called so can anyone of us.  Now What!
