Carrier Deal more of example of Hostage Taking than Corporate Welfare

It doesn’t take a “rocket-scientist” to figure out that a major mistake has been made in the recent presidential election and that ow the fear of America being totally ignored and its reputation severely damaged by the choice of over 62 million people and over 500 on the Electoral College board.  The current rate of temperament being demonstrated by President-Elect Trump has begun to have a reverse effect even upon our market-driven system.  If this trend continues and Americans are spending more time making excuses for his lack of knowledge and protocol, soon world leaders will begin to over-look any statements, advise and even warnings coming from Washington or in this case New York.  The recent economic crash may prove far easier to recover from than the damages this may do to this country we all claim to love so much. Notwithstanding the other massive misfortunes  of the in-coming administration stands a very clear example of a world leader speaking before thinking.  In an art

The Up-Side to President-Elect Trump

To the die-hard Democrats and strong supporters of Hillary Clinton, it is very difficult to find any up-side to the stealing of an election by 15 people who makes the ultimate decision of who will lead this country and to the die-hard Conservatives and strong supporters of Donald Trump, it is a time to celebrate and speak the words that avoided them often which is “just give the man a chance”. Now many questions comes to mind none of which seems more relevant than the idea that a female is ill-equipped to lead a nation such as this one but there is one that seems to escape even the most intelligent of our species which is when has a nation built to serve people is better served if we run this country as a business rather than as a nation of people. So far, those being interviewed for key positions is more of a who’s who of those less concerned about unity and more concerned about their own specific ideology.  This strikes fear in many and elation in others all the while the re

The Beauty of a Trump Presidency

Let’s not get it twisted and make no mistake, I have never been and will never be a Trump supporter but now that the choice has been made, it’s time to put away the pitchforks and torches and get down to the business of this country.  Regardless of how you feel either way, we still have a job to do as Americans and that is making sure that we minimize any and all damages by those we choose to lead us or those chosen to lead us by others. If you think that this election was stolen by the Electoral College, as I do, then the first thing we have to do is make a decision.  Do we remove those who made this choice or do we remove the power that they used to make it?  These are our only real choices because sitting around and complaining about the results will get us nowhere accept more frustrated, angry and exactly where those who have always believed that America was not the land of opportunity we claim all over the world.  If you think that those who voted for him was wrong then the o

Has the Electoral Commission/College become obsolete?

To a person, I am sure that you will hear that this nation was founded on the principal of inclusion.  Where people of many different cultures, races and religions could come and be welcomed.  It was founded on the idea that it didn’t matter where you came from or who your family was, the only thing that mattered is your willingness to work hard for what you receive and your acceptance of the rules and regulations set down by those elected to represent the nation’s people as a whole.  These ideas seem now to be lost after the Clinton versus Trump presidential election.  It appears that now it is time to revisit a subject that many feel has been resolved long ago but as history really does have a tendency to do, it has repeated itself yet again. The major thought of citizens having a voice in who they wish to lead them has always been a cornerstone of thought but given very little consideration until recent events has now placed this thought front and center.  It is reported and be

Personal Bias by Military Commanders and their Staff contributes to Active Duty Suicides

When you assume the rank of supervisor within any of the branches of the U. S. Armed Forces beginning at E-4, with it comes the responsibility of troop welfare.  Today, troop welfare has been down-graded on the list of paramount trait required to lead and it appears so far down that list now, many often forget it is even there.  This seems to be the condition that many military commanders and their staff are suffering from right now.  The mission is no longer making sure that their troops are properly prepared and ready to engage at all times, the mission is protecting those in command and the upper echelon from anything that could possibly make waves or result in being skipped over for promotion.  Today, commanders and their staff ignore troop welfare and even troop equipment by concentrating more on troop numbers and anything that will embarrass the command. Today’s troops cannot be compared to yesterday’s troops because of how much things have changed.  Post-Traumatic Stress Di

All Human Beings have a Super Power

Every single human being regardless of where, when and to whom we are born, possess a God-given super power.  While this super power is evident and dwells within us all in the same exact and identical manner, it is the honing, the harnessing and the mastery of it that allows us to shape and know when to exert this power.  We and we alone control this super power because it is a part of us, a vital part of the very essence and spirit of who we are.  While others possess this same power they will come to realize that they cannot control, manipulate or direct the power of others.  This failure to control, manipulate and direct other’s power appears to be one of the main causes behind the frustration and the anger which comes when we finally are forced to accept it.  This super power encompasses every aspect of our lives from the simple and mundane tasks to monumental discoveries and enormous achievements.  This super power is sculptured by the knowledge we obtain as we live, breathe

A Broken Justice System-The Fox guarding the Henhouse

The American justice system was designed so that all who attend would receive a fair and balanced judgment.  All would get fair and balanced treatment but like all other things man tends to control and screw up, so goes our justice system.  It does not begin and end with the cops on the beat nor does it begin and end with riches being the primary resource necessary.  It simply begins and ends with those in authority failing to remember that justice is blind, that all are innocent until proven guilty and that all deserves the same amount of respect as those in charge demand.  It simply begins and ends with those at the top.  If the boss is setting an example of intolerance, then those under him/her are also going to develop that way of thinking.  To lead by example is the primary ingredient necessary for a decent society and the true mark of a leader.  Not having it means that fixing this system was died long before it was even born. In an article titled “‘ Birther’ judge accused o

Reforming the Justice System must begin at the top

Talk to anyone who is familiar with our current justice system and many will point you toward reform but that is typically as far as the conversation goes because those who seem to care still are not sure how to go about making the change.  Some strongly suggest starting at the bottom where crimes are committed and those committing those crimes come in contact with the system but all that is mostly done there is a change in the law or procedures.  While this is and could be a good thing, it does not go far enough to make those abused by the system whole and no amount of money will ever return another’s lost dignity and self-respect.  Once you are arrested, you immediately have a record and nowhere in the remnants will there ever be the outcome of your case.  A bad arrest will show on your record just the same as a good arrest, so now the dreams, aspirations and goals of someone who were abused by the system are just as tainted, stained and tossed as someone who was well aware of t

The Evil that Men do

Americans are quick to try and point out just how wonderful we are as a country and how the example we set to the world should be followed without question but what we forget is that America never started out that way and it only became what it is today from those who were of influence and authority, finally choosing to learn from history so as not to repeat it.  The width of history is great and it expands over billions of years.  In order to achieve a more perfect union, those of us willing must be courageous enough to take apart our history and restore it one piece at a time.  History is far too vast to fix in one setting which is why it takes generations upon generations to pick up where the previous generation left off.  One clear example of this is discrimination. We are well aware of the history when it comes to slaves and the plight of Native Americans but what we may not know or realize is that African-Americans and Native Americans have something in common that no other

The Demonization of a Nation

Since the beginning of time, man has always separated themselves into categories.  These categories were defined by those making the separation and seemed to always amount to them placing the group to which they belonged as higher than all the rest.  This idea is borne out by history beginning with the mentions within the Old Testament of the Bible about the Pharisees and Sadducees as those with whom God only speaks and the words or rules that they expound should never be questioned and seen as coming directly from God.  It is borne out by even Moses writing within the Bible that only those from the tribe of  Levitt  can be called as priests and it continued  with the Native Americans, the slaves, the Irish, the Jews, women and so many more groups of people not viewed as equal.  This kind of thinking still remains prevalent today and has even been documented and made true by our past, present and current history books. This idea allows evil to make us think that the rules they hav

You want to know what is really wrong with America, we are

For as long as I can remember, people are always trying to figure out and pretend to fix what is wrong with this country.  None has ever been successful nor will we ever be, simply because the thing wrong with America is us.  We will never be successful because we lack the drive determination and balls to fix that one entity that can make all our problems disappear and our entire suffering end.  We lack the intestinal fortitude to fix ourselves. We eat the same things, we dress the same way, we go to the same places and then we wonder why nothing much changes in our lives.  Many move to a different city, buy a different kind of car, find a different set of friends but we still can’t understand why we seem stuck in the same rut.  It is because we do not wish to bother with the one change, if made, that would make these other changes irrelevant.  We change our hairstyles, we change our demeanor, we change our clothing, we change our over-all look and we still wonder why that one

My Truth about the True Evolution of Man

I have been very much aware that there has always been a question of how man was created and while some say by God others say by evolution.  I never really had a particular stance on either because it was nothing I had ever seriously considered until my daughter asked me this morning if I thought that we really did evolve from monkeys.  It was then that I began to seriously consider where I stood and in an effort to insure that I always give my children or those seeking answers the best and most comprehensive that I can, I was struck with a thought. My Bible tells me that man was created in the image of God and it tells me that God is a spirit so if what my Bible tells me is true then man could never be an evolution from ape unless of course God was an ape.  If that was the case then why would not my Bible inform me that God was an ape and not a spirit?  So if I am to believe in the words of the Bible, then it is highly unlikely that man was ever an ape.  So what does this do for

The Cure to the Disease of the recent Homicide by Cops

There are misconceptions and then there are plain bonehead assumptions, when it comes to the recent rash of officer involved shootings and it appears that many are guilty of the later. A misconception is the assuming that someone is a bad person long before ever really getting to know or even taking the time to get somewhat acquainted with that person and defined as “.a view or opinion that is incorrect because it is based on faulty thinking or understanding.”  This happens a lot in life especially when we generalize about a certain segment of society based squarely upon the actions or perceived actions of some within that segment of the population.  If you consistently see a certain group of people committing crime over and over again, then one tends to assume and build a misconception that all people of that same particular group must also commit crimes on a regular basis.  This misconception leads us to assuming the worst or the best of a section of society even though there is oft

Why is knelling right for God but not for a song or a flag

We are conditioned to believe that the proper respect to our flag and national anthem is to stand with your hand over your heart and to show the proper respect to God is to kneel.  Question then becomes why is knelling okay for God but not okay for inanimate objects.  I think this all started when Colin Kapernick decided that he would protest a country who has not truly embraced the belief that all men are created equal.  I believe it began because the history of this great nation has been soiled by the acts of many who are claimed to have built this nation and upon those actions are actions not those of one who cherish the true nature of a free country but the true nature of a perceived free nation.  The argument then expanded into the celebration of an anthem that actually were celebrating slavery and the mistreatment of those unlike those allowed to thrive and prosper.  At first I did not think that argument had merit until I took a closer look at the words.  I found these word

When do we sin and which one is worse than the others

Many a Christian leaders wishes to tell people about sinning and how one is worse than another but many times those ideas are based upon what they heard or the piecing together of certain fragments from the Bible to make their assumptions appear true.  Now the Bible does asks us to accept another person’s truth and considering all that God has done for us, this request should be quite easy to do for him.  So when I hear Christian leaders spew information about how homosexuality is worse than greed, bearing false witness and so many others, I have to accept it but that does not mean I have to like it or agree with it.  It would be safe to say that I do not. There are a host of sins that mortal man and woman can and often times commit.  This is what is meant by no one being sin-free.  We can be free of sin however if we make up our minds that we will sin, but we will never be controlled by sin.  Being controlled by sin means that you cannot complete a simple assignment without havin

Parents may not put the gun to their children’s head but we are the ones who pull the trigger

A parents number one concern is to try and prevents any harm, injury or death from coming to their children and to that end, we often rush to their defense considering that this actions proves our love but what if I tell you, it is not the action that you perform then but the actions you perform during the beginning stages of their lives that really shows your love.  Each and every time you step up and provide a buffer for your child, you are essentially setting them up for paying a heavier price of pain, injury or death because who will shield them when you are no longer around?  They have grown accustomed to you jumping in to save them and they have lost the fear of jumping in the deep in of the pool because they know you will jump in after them but what if there is a time they jump without thinking and you are not there to save them?  Do they now perish; do you now have to bury them?  The mistake your child makes growing up is the time to educate them and find out what they lea

Learning what true Self Preservation means is the roadmap to real happiness

I often times am bothered by why all of us refuse to show our honest and sincere concern and compassion for others.  Why we often times wait until something bad happens before the true spirit of each of us comes out. We have seen who we really are like during  events like Sept 11, Katrina, Hurricane Sandy, Sandy Hook, the recent Louisiana floods and other disasters and so many more but we quickly revert back to a place where our differences seems more important than our similarities, so why do we do this.  I believe that it is because of the one constant embedded within all of us and that is called “self-preservation”.   Self-Preservation causes us to look out for ourselves before anything or anyone else and in order to protect ourselves, we choose to focus more on the differences between each other than the similarities because that would mean we must now truly care about strangers and because many of us see caring as a sign of weakness or an opening where we can be easily hurt,

Mass Incarceration- America’s newest Plantation

On the plantation there was a power structure like that which still exists today.  There were the masters or landowners and doing their biding was the overseers who made sure that all the rules, regulations and policies set down by the masters were carried out by the slave.  Then of course there was the slave, the laborer, the worker, the true backbone of the prosperity of the landowner and consistent employment of the overseer. In a much better world, the master would always intelligently choose which crops should garner him and his family the best price that year and whether the grounds could handle it.  The smart ones made sure that their overseers did not go beyond the point of respect toward the very reason he and his family was able to live so well.  The smart overseer would insure that the policies, rules and regulations passed down by the master were adhered to but they would do so with the retaining of dignity of the slave in mind.  Many of the good and decent ones were o

High School Mentality and Ideology killing Democracy

There was a time and place where Americans were more concerned with who could do the job more than they were who was in the job.  It used to be a time whether experience doing a job was important but not more important than the desire, temperament, patience, character and willingness to compromise.  We used to look for people who was confident in what they believed, would stand firm when those beliefs were tested but not so rigid that violent aggression was the only answer left. Sad to say that this is not the case anymore.  Now we look for people we can have a beer with and those who talk tough and pretend to be willing to die for their principals.  We look for those whose face could don the cover of magazines or a cultured pedigree.  We look for those who hold a particular type of job or have attended a particular type of school.  We want people who look likes us, think like us, act like us and believe like us.  We do not care for anyone who has a difference of opinion and c

The Four Types of Intelligence

Just like there are three (3) stages of adulthood, there appears to be about four types of intelligence. Stage one, of adulthood, is being grown and that is when you are legally considered grown by law which is normally 18 years old but for some it may be 21. Stage two of adulthood is adult where it is said to be when you began to truly take responsibility for your actions, choices and decisions. Stage three is maturity which is when you are well aware of who you are to the point where others being who they are does not bother you. One stage is not the same as the others and if you are courageous enough to reach stage three, you shall find that peace and tranquility that you were looking for in the other two. To reach stage three, you have to be more than willing to listen to those you disagree with and consider the lessons those conversations may provide, applying them to who you are to become something better. The first type of intelligence is the natural intelligence.  This is

You are the reason you may never receive eternal life

For decades, congregations have sat and listened to preachers, pastors, rabbis, and other religious leaders tell them about God’s gift of eternal life.  They have given them some indications as to how to acquire this precious gift but few ever recall those lessons or refuse to heed the warnings. Here is how the eternal life gift works.  If you live your life according to what you truly believe will please God and can answer truthfully and honestly to him why you made the choices, the decisions and took the actions you did while in the flesh, you shall be granted eternal life.  Now what does that mean, eternal life means that you, the soul, the spirit, the true essences of all of us will never have to set foot on this place we call earth but is truly nothing more than hell.  We will never have to set foot on any planet or hell for eternity which means we will be allowed to enjoy peace and sin-free living for as long as God desires our souls to remain in heaven, but if the opposite

Racism-How it all began and the only way it will end

Racism began as a thought, and idea based on a belief and reinforced by Genesis Chapter 1 verses 26 through 31 where it is written “Then God said let us make a man someone like ourselves to be the master of all life upon the earth and in the skies and in the seas.” “So God made man like his maker, like God did God make man. Man and maid did he make them and God blessed them and told them multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, you are the masters of the fish and birds and all animals and look I have given you the seed-bearing plants throughout the earth and the fruit bearing tress for your food.  And I have given all the grass and plants to the animals and birds for food.  Then God looked over all that he had made, and it was excellent in every way.  This ended the sixth day.” This passage was what they used to justify taking control of the earth, the sky, the seas and all else God had made except man in his ultimate betrayal to God took this one step further.  A group of men w

The Lessons we are missing or choosing to ignore about the recent violations of others

When you attend school, people wish to say that there you can gain book smarts but when you education comes from the streets, people say you are gaining streets smarts.  Depending on who you talk to or at the time you talk to them, one would push one over the other and there has even been behavioral test conducted to see which actually came first, the chicken or the egg.  For some reason we think that life is so complicated that we must have a pre-programmable gene within all of us that causes us to act a particular way at a particular time.  Though I can respect these experts’ thoughts and ideas, I have to vehemently disagree with their assessment. This pre-conceived notion to do evil is not a part of our make-up but a direct result of our environment and the choices that we make.  If you make a statement that you believe in a particular thing and you fail to live up to that statement is not a result of anything other than you making a statement you that you failed to live up too
