The Escalation of Addressing Violence against Women gives Rise to Another Issue

Many of us can recall the day when a man was allowed to beat his wife and nothing would ever happen to him.   We are also aware that many Christian men still follow the “a woman’s place in society is to be subject to her husband” philosophy which means so many things the least of which “women should be seen and not heard”.   Some still find themselves struggling with this concept which may explain why so many men feel that it is their place to tell women what she can and can not do with their bodies but to the majority of men, we all know that this is not and should not be the case today.   We know that women carry the bulk of the burden when it comes to the effects and affects of this world.   We know that they have a mind and should have a voice in the decisions made.   We know that they have just as much right to pick and choose their destinies as men do.   We know this and now it’s time for us to not only stand up for them but stand up for ourselves as...

When Women need us the most, Men run away

There is a cry that can be heard all around this nation and it goes totally unheard.   This cry is from the mothers, wives, sisters, daughters, nieces and aunts of every single male out there and being a male when we claim to always be there for the most important people in our lives, we fail greatly when it comes to those previously mentioned.   How you ask?   We fail because we minimize, ignore and refuse to try and understand the real crisis they faced when it comes to their reproductive rights and decisions. No man knows better than any woman what is best for them when it comes to what they should do with their bodies and all of us need to get back and support their decisions when it comes to this.   The majority of us would be pitching a fit if women were making decisions about what we should do with ours.   I guess by now some of you are asking the question of what is I talking about and it is an medical procedure called a hysterectomy. A hysterec...

New study of women who choose to breast-feed finding them less competent is flawed

Of all of the studies, I have ever heard conducted, this is one which should have never seen the light of day.   Not only was it done in a manner much unlike any that I have ever heard of but the premise was as flawed as the results.   According to an article written by Rachael Rettner a MyHealthNewsDaily Staff Writer titled Mothers Who Breast-Feed Are Viewed as Incompetent , “ Although breast-feeding provides proven health benefits for both mother and baby, women who choose to breast-feed are perceived as less competent than women who do not breast-feed, a new study suggests.   In one of their experiments, for instance, researchers found that the participants were less likely to hire a woman for a hypothetical job position once they learned she was breast-feeding.   Given the known  benefits of breast feeding , the study researchers were surprised by the results. "I would have had the opposite prediction, that breast-feeding would make somebody seem really com...

The Best Gift that he ever gave his Wife was from a Dream

Ron finally pulled into his driveway after a very long day at the office but as he stepped out of his 2007 Dodge, he could feel that something was different.   He could not quite put his finger on it but deep down in his bones, things were not the same in the Manns household.   He stepped through the doorway of their modest five bedrooms, two and a half baths home and couldn’t even find the strength to take off his jacket.   He barely had enough energy to make it too his favorite chair in the living room before his entire world became completely black. Ron awoke to find himself bound to his chair and unable to move his left arm.   Not because someone had actually tie him to the chair but because his youngest son Terren was comfortably laying on it and must have been there for quite some time because his entire arm had went numb.   He was startled in the beginning but as he looked down at his son, it was one of the most precious moments that he had experienced i...

The Unconscientious Choice of choosing a Mate

There have been much better qualified people than myself to approach this subject but as an experience there is something that have not been discussed. Many believe that one conscientiously chooses their mate and that their decision is formed by many other factors including but not limited to neighborhood, parental approval, peer pressure or unvoiced social rules.   I think its much more than that and the primary way one chooses a mate is more unconscientiously than conscientiously.   It also varies a great deal between the sexes.   Unconscientiously men choose a mate for a different reason than the female. When a young man is still a little boy, he will unconscientiously store his first encounter with a female and that encounter will have a great deal to do with who he chooses for a mate later in life.   He does not see color in the beginning, its all about who laughs at his jokes, smiles in his direction or genuinely suffers with him.   If this female happen...

The Audacity of Man

Have you ever noticed that there seemed to be one standard for women in our society and another one for men?   Being a man, I noticed this trend some time ago but never thought that it would get as bad as it is today.     I’ve also noticed another trend that I think needs to be exposed. I have begun to notice how men who think that they are the best thing since crushed ice can troll the bars and try to pick up as many women as possible, think its terrible if a female does the same.   These men think it’s a badge of honor to conquer as many women as they can in their lifetime but will throw a fit if the lady that they are seeing even talks to another man.    Now I understand that the past should remain in the past and should only be used to learn from but if the party in question continues after committing himself to another then that’s another story. Now women, do not climb upon that high horse and think that this disease only affects the male popula...
