Who are the Real True Children of God?

All of us should have heard the saying “Bless it are the Peacemakers, for they shall be called “the Children of God”.  If you have not heard or read this then it has been a failure of those before you to educate you on what that means.  It’s the only clear definition of God’s expectation of us while so many others can be gleamed and interpreted but is not so clear.

It does not say that any specific religion is the children of God nor does it say that any particular color, creed, or sex is the child of God.  The Bible tells us that we all are God’s children yet we divide ourselves into these groups each claiming more of a connection.  Labels are those definitions we place upon ourselves and do not reflect the wishes of anyone but ourselves.  You decide to worship in a particular way so your gravitate toward those who share your vision of religion but that, by no means, prove that you are any closer to God than someone who choose to worship in another manner.  What it shows is your God given right to choose and nothing more.

When it comes to politics, many say that individuals seeking office must cater to a specific religious sect or group to win their support and while we do that we offer a little bit of ourselves for sell.  What we should be doing is maintaining our self-worthiness by remaining true to the only two beings that matters and that is God Almighty and ourselves.  When it comes to status or influence within our community and the world at large, we do the very same thing over and over again, searching for that feeling of inclusion and belonging.  We look so very hard for that feeling that we ignore the one most important belonging that our Creator has blessed us with and that is our duty he has given us to each other.

Do not be confused and think that nothing is more important than how you see the world and in some cases how the world sees you.  Be clear in your heart, mind, and soul that what matters more than anything else is how God sees you.  Are you constantly trying to make and keep the peace or are you part of the noise that drowns it out?
