Wisconsin Election Results only prove one thing

Of all of the potential lessons that one could gleam from the Wisconsin election results, the one few will ever talk about is the weakness of the voters.  Faced with a golden opportunity to restore their state, their citizens and possibly a nation, they shrunk, bowed their heads and cried “yasa masa”.

In one of the best article written to date Walter Shapiro explains better than most in his titled What Scott Walker can teach Barack Obama.  In it is reports that “Republican Gov. Scott Walker declared, “Tonight, we tell Wisconsin, we tell our country, and we tell people around the globe that voters really do want leaders who stand up and make tough decisions.”  And while he is correct that Walker and those like him will undoubtly make this claim and has plenty of evidence to back it up.  The voters was handed an opportunity but failed to send a more inclusive message.  While his article clearly shows the reasons why recalling Walker was the right message, their unwillingness to demand better from their elected officials allows others to fill their campaigns with money and lies instead of fairness and justice.
Mr. Shapiro explains that “Walker kept under wraps during his first gubernatorial race his driving dream of drastically curtailing the collective bargaining rights of public employees.  That hush-hush strategy partly explains the seismic shock that hit Wisconsin when Walker, a month after taking office, revealed the full extent of his anti-union agenda.  If Wisconsin can provide a lasting lesson in the dangers of political overreach, then maybe the partisan excess of the third recall election in American history was not entirely wasted.”

My lesson of the Wisconsin election follows a slightly different take.  It says that after this date, the upcoming actions of those now encouraged by the results will take.  It says that “Citizen’s United” decision was ideal for those big money donors to own our election system and have no reason to practice restraint.  It opens the flood gate for radicalism on both sides and a trampling of not only the US Constitution but the Bill of Rights as well.  Watch closely Wisconsin to the results of your failure to require politicians speak truth to power and be of the people by the people instead of being the pawn of billionaires.

The liberties that will be taken by those who want to “take back their country” has been approved by the voters of Wisconsin and make no mistake no one will be safe from its reach.  You may have been granted a waiver in the beginning causing you to believe that they were your friends but after decimating every other offensive group, who do you think will be next?  This catastrophe reminds me of another event and warning that needs to be heeded.  It is therefore my suggestion for all of you “closet” Christians out there, it might behoove you to re-familiarize your self with a certain book in the Bible called Revelations.
