Al-Qaida’s long shot to replace bin Laden may be unavailable for the job

According to an article written by Chris Brummitt and Ishtiaq Mehsud of the Associated Press titled Al-Qaida militant said killed by US in Pakistan “an al-Qaida leader sought in the 2008 Mumbai siege and rumored to be a long shot choice to succeed Osama bin Laden was believed killed in a U.S. drone attack as he met with other militants in an apple orchard in Pakistan, an intelligence official said Saturday. If confirmed, it would be another blow against the terror organization a month after the slaying of its leader”.  The article goes on to say that while it was unclear how Kashmiri was tracked and because it was a drone strike, “verifying who has been killed in the drone strikes is difficult, with DNA samples or photographic evidence typically needed” , we may never be really sure.  But one thing is extremely clear; those who indulge themselves with the destruction of countries and their citizens, their days are numbered.

The article says that we do not know how he was tracked but I suggest that his movements and much information were obtained from the enormous cache of information taken from Osama bin Laden’s compound.  I have no insider knowledge of this but you have got to admit it is quite possible.  I would even go further to say that more militant leaders have now been firmly affixed within the crosshairs and if they still refuse to change their ways may soon be joining the others so-called martyrs.  America has turned away from trying to bully other countries into living as we say but makes it well known that if you strike us we will strike back except when we come we come bringing gifts.
