Why Sarah Palin will never run for President

Riding around in a bus, telling the family it’s a vacation while bathing in the glory of herself on the dime of those who support her is all that Sarah Palin will have the heart to do.  While many may wish to go broke trying to support her and others wish to place her atop the entire Republican Party, the majority of Americans are acutely aware that she is not ready for prime time.

Even if she undergo years of study to get the history of this nation more correct or expand her current knowledge of current events, she will never be ready.  Mainly because it takes more to become President of the United States than just the ability to point out the wrong in others thinking.  It takes an even hand and one who is not only willing to admit when they are wrong but learn from each and every situation.  This will never be a place where Sarah Palin will reside because even when faced with overwhelming evidence that her interpretation could use a little bit of adjusting, she refuses to admit that she need any adjustment at all.

America has to be an inclusive nation because we now live in a global community, one in which each country has the right to speak and act for themselves.  The inability to respect the rights of others is not a trait the majority would want in their leaders.  No reporter has ever asked her where she stands on a woman’s right to choose, where she stands on abortion, collective bargaining, the Bush tax cuts or the big oil subsidies.  We need to know what her plans are for creating jobs and it needs to be something new because the same old rhetoric has not created one job.  We need to know where she stands on the extended magazine controversy or background checks before being able to purchase firearms.  We need to know her policy on veteran’s rights and the privatization of Medicare and Social Security.  We need to know her process of deciding when to send troops to war or how she would handle the serious and ever looming threat of terrorism.

We need to know all these and so much more which seems not to be of any concern to those who are able to question her.  These things need to be asked of anyone seeking the Office of the President and I, like many more, are still waiting on the voice of the public to get over themselves and ask the question we really need answers to.  No matter how much money they have in their campaign coffers, it will be those going to the polls that make the decision and the media owes us nothing less than the information we need to make an educated decision on who we want in those leadership positions.  Just my opinion and I could be wrong.
