The Serpent Residing in Cops Garden of Eden Reveals its Head

It is said that nothing done in secret stays secret and it is known that nothing done in the dark will always be brought into the light.  In the original Garden of Eden there was a serpent with enormous power and influence on the inhabitants.  This serpent fooled the residents into believing that they knew best about how they should live and behave but like that serpent in the original Garden of Eden, it finally over-stepped its bounds and exposed its head to have it lopped off by the true defenders.  This is the case and a clear lesson as to a major part of the root of this problem.  Many of us wondered how my fellow cops could have turned from defenders of the citizens and those unable to defend themselves; the deliverers of equality on the streets of all of our cities, the safe haven for all that seek shelter from any storm.  How they turned from ultimate sacrifices like that to a group of perfectly placed agitators of justice.  Well wonder no more.

This article  titled “NYPD Officers Tell Mayor Bill De Blasio To Stay Away From Police Funerals” written by Sean Kelly for The New York Post reveals the hidden truth behind where police all over America has been allowed to commit those actions they were hired to stop but get clean and clear away with it.  The reports say “the NYPD officers have distributed a waiver amongst fellow cops to be signed in support of a request for New York Mayor Bill de Blasio to refrain from attending police funerals.  The Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association sent out fliers to officers that encourage them to sign and submit the “Don’t Insult My Sacrifice” waiver, which was created in the aftermath of the chokehold death of Staten Island resident Eric Garner. The waiver calls for de Blasio and Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito to stay away from police officer funerals.”

The flier reads “I, as a New York City police officer, request that Mayor Bill de Blasio and City Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito refrain from attending my funeral services in the event that I am killed in the line of duty,” the waiver reads. “Due to Mayor de Blasio and Speaker Mark-Viverito’s consistent refusal to show police officers the support and respect they deserve, I believe that their attendance at the funeral of a fallen New York City police officer is an insult to that officer’s memory and sacrifice.”

“Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association president Patrick Lynch has even accused de Blasio of throwing NYPD officers “under the bus.”  The article sites this as the reason behind those fliers by saying “the comments centered around de Blasio’s teenage mixed race son, who he says he has had to advise to be careful around police officers.  According to the New York Post, officers are planning a “Pro-Cop” rally next week at City Hall”.

So here we have an association which is supposed to look out for the welfare of policemen/women but has extended its reach into protecting them from ever been held accountable for any wrong that they do.  This is the same group whose members were caught on tape arresting, assaulting and showing total disregard for life taking down one of their own.  A 28 year member of the NYPD was approached and ignored when he identified himself and proved this with valid credentials.  It’s plain to see my Mayor de Blasio warns his son because if they are allowed to violate one of their owns civil rights, what chance to you and I have at having our civil rights honored.

The truly sad part of this entire revelation is groups like these should be the first to condemn any action that makes their profession seem les professional.  Unless this group only represents the bad cops, they should be the ones leading these protests because if you wish to speak about your sacrifice and having it respected, take the lead on seeing those officers who are doing the real damage to your profession punished.

There is one other lost lesson which many seem to be overlooking.  The dreams of many little boys were to become a police officer and help to protect and serve their communities.  That dream is slowly being dismantled and dying because of those this group and others like it has done to make sure whatever those within that group do, they truly are above the law.
