Does Iran really have their hand in Bahrain?

When I came across this article by Scott Bronstein, Amber Lyon and Taryn Fixel of CNN titled CNN arrests expose crackdown in Bahrain the question of Iran instigating these conflicts except for the one in Egypt, for what they thought would be their gain crossed my mind.  The evidence for this thought is excerpted below and if read carefully, one could probably find more.

The article stated that "Our economy came to the brink of collapse," Sheikh Khalid, Bahrain's Foreign Minister said. "So we had no choice but to protect the interests of our country... from collapse, from total collapse internally. And from external threats. We all know where we are. We all know who threatened us and called on the people to rise up."  When asked who he referred to, Sheikh Khalid said "Iran, of course."  I question this only because the actions being taken are some what identical to those taken by Iran when their population took to the streets and if they were truly behind the uprising would those who separate themselves from Iran use the same tactics?  It’s a question worth asking but I am sure would never get an honest answer.  I also question this because of the international press being prohibited from capturing the true happenings for the world to see.  If this is really what is happening, why not let independent journalist or anyone with a camera capture it.  This would be proof to me that these images were not doctored or coordinated in any way.

I would be surprised to learn that Iran really does have a hand in Bahrain especially considering that Iran is not seen as a qualified voice in that region.  If memory serves this was the same complaint we heard from Gadhafi before he unleashed his troops and mercenaries upon his own people.  If it is true then I would have to say that Iran over-estimated the events and did not take into consideration the possible results that this would have on its own country.  Egypt was a success and today begins a new chapter in their history, other Middle Eastern nations may follow and soon change will come to Iran possibly brought to them by their own hand.
