Why Tea Party wants all or nothing

I have always wondered why people who say that they love this country would not do all that they could to keep up the recovery whether it is slow or not.  They said that they wanted politicians who would not be a pawn to anyone.  I believe that the mission is clearer now than it has been in the past.  The Tea Party wants all or nothing because they see a government shutdown as another way to insure that Barack Obama does not get a second term.  They have also seen how this president has answered his campaign promises and even though some are not complete, they still se it as his supporters getting everything they wanted.  They are under the impression that the shutdown would have a worse effect on the president than it will be on those Republicans on the ballots.  It is going to be curious to see if any Republican gets a primary challenger when we get closer to the 2012 election.  If you look over the field of potential Republican nominees for president, the Tea Party is looking to try and bring down this president because of the slim pickings of their candidates so anything that they can or don’t do to make that happen is the game plan.  The problem is that they are only 23% of the Republican base.

I would be curios to know if any of those in the Tea Parties are actually for collective bargaining denial, abortion even in the case of rape or incest and really do want to privatize Medicare, abolish Medicaid, take away Pell grants and keep the Bush tax cuts for the wealth.   If nothing else this minority of Republicans having such a hold on those in Washington has awaken those independents and democrats who stayed home during the midterm, teaching them that we all must stay visible in this game at all times.
