Recent actions by State Governors and Houses may explains what was meant by “Wanting my country back”

I had often wondered about the statement made at the healthcare town halls of those who decried that “they wanted their country back”.  I think now the actions of some governors and state house may provide us with a clue of what they meant.

Very few have reported on the recent invasion of Benton Harbor by the new governor of Michigan but mainstream media has been all over the uprising in Wisconsin.  I could not help but see how these and all of the other things happening around this nation was linked and nothing made it even more cleared than this Jennifer Page article titled Martial Law Now a Reality in Michigan which reported that “the Michigan AFL-CIO released a press release in response to Benton Harbor: "This is sad news for democracy in Michigan. It comes after the announcement of Robert Bobb in Detroit ordering layoff of every single public school teacher in the Detroit Public School system," says Mark Gaffney, President of Michigan AFL-CIO. "With the stripping of all power of duly elected officials in Benton harbor and the attack on Detroit school teachers, we can now see the true nature of the Emergency Manager system."  This article was supported ever so strongly by this one from an unknown author for Groundup, reminding us that “With the implementation of Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder’s (R)financial martial law, what is unfolding in Benton Harbor, Mich. is nothing but corporate greed, government overreach, racism, voter disenfranchisement, and erosion of civil rights, constitutional rights and democratic rule.  What is particularly concerning is that Gov. Snyder’s financial martial law is one of those egregious, far-right laws that if one Republican governor gets such a bill passed and signed, other Republican governors will follow suit, “in an article titled Gov Snyder does away with Democracy.

What does all this mean?  It means that some people are deathly afraid of their country being placed in the hands of African-Americans.  The one in the White House can not possibly know how to run this country.  No further proof needed than Donald Trump rising in the polls because now the idiot is questioning Obama’s grades in school, his ability to write a book and his worthiness to go to Harvard.  Rick Snyder is probably thinking the same thing about Benton Harbor, so he sends his “yes man” to dismantle democracy in Benton Harbor so that his financial benefactors can move in and take back their country, one city at a time.  In Wisconsin and over a greater part of this nation, an all out assault on the poor, middle class, unions and women’s rights are being waged.  Kind of reminds me of the 1923 Rosewood massacre in Rosewood, Florida.  Intelligent Americans see all that is going on but stay quiet about it because they feel that it does not affect them.

News Flash America, what goes on in one state will affect you and what happens to one race will effect you.  Why, because when bullies are bored terrorizing a particular person or group, they are compelled to seek out their next form of entertainment.  You may feel out of reach now but how long do you think that will last after they are done eradicating the poor, seniors, middle class and women?  Until those who whine about wanting their country back learns that this country belongs to more than just their circle of friends, the only thing that they need to get back is their humanity.
