Israel and Palestinian permanent peace?

We have heard this story before and many will not believe it until it is verified true but it is still nice to see that the lessons being played out in other Middle Eastern countries are not lost on Israel or Palestine.

Reuters report Israel might seek interim Palestinian peace deal in which “the Israeli leader could try and seek a "phased path" toward a permanent peace deal rather than an accord that resolved all the core issues as envisaged by the United States and European allies.”  It may be more to this than it would normally be because the unrest in other countries may find its way to Israel and the West Bank.  The protests have all started when the youth of a nation grow tired of fighting and want peace.  They give their leaders ample time to create this peace but each and every time they fail.  Before long the youth will figure that they need to step in and step up in both Israel and Palestine.  If that happens the leaders including Hamas will be forced to listen to their children instead of their children listening to them.

All this is speculation and just an opinion of a layman who has no expertise in any of this but does look at the events and actions of the past with eyes wide open.  I believe that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is more aware of this than many others are and may be looking for a way to finally bring peace to a region that has been plagued with war for so long.  It may also be a consideration by both Israel and Palestine that only by banding together wills they be able to protect their way of life from those far outside the borders of both.  Israel and Palestine’s’ growth and prosperity has been put on hold long enough, its time to bury the hatchet and grow the seed of peace.
