Neo-Cons to the left and right of me

This morning I had to get my fill of politics and decided to stop off to visit Thomas Roberts from MSNBC.  One of the things that he was speaking about was the conflict in Libya and what America should do.  His guest was Former Ambassador Marc Ginsberg and listening to Mr. Ginsberg really made me question whether there is really a need for talking heads on these shows or Mr. Ginsberg had information that the viewing audience did not.

Mr. Ginsberg was berating President Obama’s lack of charging head-long into this conflict and praising the actions of Hilary Clinton at the same time.  It made me wonder if this was by design or he knew something we didn’t.  I ask this because we all should know by now that Hilary Clinton would never speak on her own and without first running it by President Obama.  The reason he choose her to handle such a demanding job is because he knew she was not only strong enough to do it but to also stand toe-to-toe with him if she disagreed.  Their relationship, so far, has been nothing short of spectacular and shows the world how two totally different people can easily co-exist together as long as they maintain focus on the one very important aspect of their jobs.  That is keeping America safe.  One of the things that make Ms. Clinton so believable when she speaks is that look in her eyes that tell you she is truly committed to what she is saying.

I wonder if Mr. Ginsberg is not attempting to divide and conquer by applauding one of Obama’s best and most supportive diplomats and I believe a true friend.  I have heard other from the liberal media call people like Mr. Bolton Neo-Cons and learned that it meant those who say shoot first and ask questions later so should we not attach that same label to people like Mr. Ginsberg who say the need for military action is now and President Obama is wasting too much time.  I also have to wonder why so many are saying shoot first when none of them will be the ones in harm’s way.  They sit in the comfort of their lounge chairs and bark that might make right but they will only be dodging a paper cut instead of a bullet.  It’s easy to say this is what we should do when it is not you that have to do it but then that’s just my opinion.
