Iran could be the key to democracy taking hold in the Middle East

Other Arab and Muslim nations have shown what it takes to regain control of a country and make government responsible to those it governs.  They have taken the lesson from the Civil Rights example shown in the United States so many years ago and revised it to fit the times we live in today.  While all of this should make any human being with a love for freedom sings the praises of God, it should also make all of us aware of the price it may cost.

Iran may be the key to democracy taking hold in the Middle East because it has been attempted more times in the recent years than many of those countries like Egypt who succeeded.  I would not be surprised if Korea soon begins to feel the fire of freedom.  We know that “the security clampdown is reminiscent of the backlash that crushed a wave of massive protests after Ahmadinejad's disputed re-election in June 2009.” As reported by Ali Akbar Dareini of the Associated Press, but we also know that  “Turkish President Abdullah Gul, who is on a visit to Iran, urged governments in the Middle East to listen to the demands of their people. "When leaders and heads of countries do not pay attention to the demands of their nations, the people themselves take action to achieve their demands," IRNA quoted Gul as saying Monday.”  The Iranian government may be able to succeed in putting the people down but they will never be successful at keeping them down.

Like anything else the phoenix shall always rise from the ashes and the tide always comes in.  Before long the people will connect, come together and be victorious in securing their freedoms and taking back their government.  This will happen because you can never control a destiny only corral it.  Why will Iran be the catalyst for democracy in the Middle East?  Mainly because no one expects the citizens to ever rule their own country.  Mainly because Iran’s leaders now must be seen as the bullies of the reign while their people only wish to be seen.  Their voices began with a whisper and are slowly becoming a roar and we all know what happens when the lion roars.
