The media all ablaze with the latest news regarding the airstrikes.  Many with the ability to hold serve on camera making lob shots into an art form and those with the authority to right the ship are missing or absent from the bridge. To make my point, consider when it comes to foreign affairs the usual suspects are quickly rounded up by cable news shows thinking that booking them will increase viewership and ratings.  Only what they don’t know or care not to know is that they are being used to spread their propaganda just like those radical groups we all swear to hate. Not much surprises me these days but nothing makes me shake my head more than those whose job is to inform finding hit and miss messages to spread thinking that only controversy sells.  Much like advertisers think that a good product will never reach millions of consumers unless it is attached to barely clothed women or some handsome hunk without a shirt.  Contrary to Wall Street wisdom, sex does not sell, it only directs the mind toward sex and demises the product you are trying to sell but that’s just a layman’s view and apparently it doesn't count. Take for example the recent uproar presented to us by Ed Mazza of the Huffington Post who found it important to waste ink and print room on “President Obama Criticized for 'Latte Salute' While Stepping off Marine One”.  Personally I can think of a billions things that could have occupied this space and our time better than this but then I am not the one who chooses what is plastered on the pages of so-called news magazines....

In a time when it appears that money is the primary and sometimes sole motivator behind movements we make, it is apparent that this may have been the only true reason for the new anti-Obama documentary as evidenced by The Huffington Post in an article titled 2016: Obama's America' Expands Into More Theaters Amid Accuracy Issues by Kia Makarechi.  I say this because it appears that it’s co-director, Dinesh D’Souza and it’s producer, Gerald Molen, have risked their reputation to present a movie that is supposed to be based on fact while showing severe indifference. The article chronicles the rise of the gross at the box office “this past weekend” as well as the expansion of it’s audience.  It states that “Molen defended the project as “fair and truthful” in a recent interview” but “the Associated Press fact-checked the film, which attempts to trace the roots of Obama's ideology. Ever since this president was sworn in, there have been those who will stop at nothing but to oppose anything and everything that he says and does.   It is not so unexpected but it still is bewildering.   The newest media frenzy is over the anniversary of the death of Osama bin Laden and decenters are given a microphone and all the time they need on every channel to roar.   The sad part of it is, many of them may have more at stake than this media mass are interested in finding out. The more I consider the “War on Women” and all of the bills being pushed and passed by Republican-led State Houses as well as those being crafted in Washington, I cannot help but wonder where are the female lawmakers and why are they voting for things like this? If you knew that AT&T was more pro-business and less customer relations and opposed things that you favored would you sell out to them?   May be because the Huffington Post was seen as a prominent force in support of President Obama.   I wonder now how Huffington Post will change now that they owe this publication. There may be hundreds of reasons why there has been no intervention in the conflict of the countries mentioned above and more that we have yet to learn about but to me it all revolves around one simple answer.   Times have changed and so have the majority of Americans.
