Big Oil Big Push for Higher Gas Prices and Profits begins now

I was wondering when big oil was going to launch their fight to convince people that they should demand higher gas prices so that they could get back to making record profits but I did not think a CIA Insider would be used to initiate that effort.  I would have thought some bought-off politician would have been the spark that started the fuse but I guess it goes to show, big oil is not afraid to use whatever and whomever they must to achieve their goals. I get this from reading and article titled “ CIA Insider: “Forget Iran, Iraq, Ukraine, and Syria this is where WWIII will start ” which appears on Keith Fitzgerald’s website Total Wealth Research.com which states “Should the rise of conflicts across the Middle East and Ukraine serve as a warning sign that something much more dangerous is approaching?  According to Jim Rickards, the CIA’s Asymmetric Warfare Advisor, the answer is yes.  In a startling interview he reveals that all 16 U.S. Intelligence Agencies have beg...

The War between Wall Street and Main Street

Before this economic collapse, many people on Main Street never really considered Wall Street as alive; it was only thought of a place where people go to work.   Lately, it’s becoming increasingly clear that Wall Street is most definitely alive and is eating our breakfast.   Typically, I never really like to categorize any issue as “us/we” and “they/them” but for the sake of clarity and to better help you understand my point, this time I must.   We will be the middle class, seniors, poor and less fortunate while they will simply be the wealthy.   Make no mistake about it, this is class warfare. One of the most ingenious things ever created by Main Street was Wall Street but just like any animal that goes mad, it turned on us.   Main Street wanted a better life for their children so we created the Student Loans.   We wanted to reach a higher standard so we created Home Loans.   We wanted to be our own boss so we created Commercial Loans.   We w...

Commodity plunge not a cause of natural cycle but by the loud cry for investigations

It never ceases to amaze me how quickly people forget the path that they have just traveled.   Maybe its just for convenience or maybe it’s something else, but what ever it is, we need to change this habit because no problem is ever solved if those trying to fix it will not first acknowledge that it exist Case in point is the article by Jonathan Fahey and Chris Kahn of the Associated Press titled Gas price to drop as oil joins commodities plunge.   These highly educated and skilled professional wrote that “investors finally hit the brakes on oil, gold, silver and food prices. Analysts say investors got nervous that oil, metals and grains had risen over the past few months to unrealistic heights. The most common reason given by analysts for the sell-off was the strengthening U.S. dollar.   Other factors such as concern about Middle East oil supplies and China's demand for raw materials contributed to the momentum. Analysts warned it was overdone.”   While I am in ...

A simple solution to high gas prices

The idea that this country can not deal with the price of gas and how constricting it is to our way of life is a complete joke.   History tells us that this trend comes about this time every year and goes for a few months here and there.   The spin offered by those who believe this is a hot issue is astounding and therefore made to appear so complex that many Americans just throw up their hands and look for anyone who will promise to find the answer. I allowed myself to be drawn into this discussion by Laura Conaway ’s feed on the Maddowblog article titled Your Democratic president on GOP ideas .   In it she quotes Ezra Klien, whom I have great respect for and love to listen to.   While I do agree with what was reported as Ezra writing “t he shift toward Republican thinking hasn't gained President Obama support from Republicans, and it leaves a lot of empty space on the left,” I do not totally agree with his premise and find myself agreeing with the comment by April...

Want lower gas prices time to pressure speculators

When will congress get around to doing something about these high prices, probably when they began to do something about the speculators who are driving this train?   In Christopher S. Rugaber’s article titled Food and gas costs push consumer prices higher for the Associated Press; he writes “ Americans are paying more for food and gas, a trend that could slow economic growth in the months ahead. The Consumer Price Index rose 0.5 percent in March, the Labor Department said Friday. That matched February's increase, the largest since the recession ended in June 2009. In the past 12 months, the index has increased 2.7 percent, the biggest rise since December 2009.   Excluding the volatile food and gas categories, the so-called core index rose 0.1 percent and it is up only 1.2 percent in the past year.” It also shows a quote which may embody the attitude of many who could make a difference if they tired.   “Nothing here to change the Fed's view that the surge in commodity p...
