Armageddon and Global Warming, Real or Fake

First you need to understand what the dictionary definition of Armageddon is then decide if the way it is being used today fits that description.  The dictionary defines Armageddon as the place where the final battle between good and evil will be fought; a final completely destructive battle or any large scale and destructive conflict.  Now does this fit the way this word is being used in conversations of today, I personally think not.  When religious leaders speak of Armageddon, they want you to image an epic battle where everything is destroyed even the planet.  When politicians use the word they want you to think of an exploding earth, killing anything and everything left on it when it explodes.  None of these fits the description according to the dictionary and it doesn’t hold water according to the Bible.  Check it out for yourself if you have questions. An article in Mother Jones Magazine written by Eric Holthaus titled “World Leaders Will Meet T...

Humans Caused the Deaths in Oklahoma not the Tornado or Climate Change

My heart goes out to the families of all victims whether it’s in Boston, Texas or Oklahoma, but it’s particularly distressing when it involves the lives of children.  The massive media coverage of the tornado that touched down in Moore, Oklahoma keeps me glued to the screen and praying out loud, hearing about the heroic actions of those teachers who shielded those kids with their bodies and the quick response of the first responders, American Red Cross, FEMA, state and local agencies, and the millions of volunteers all over this country makes me proud to live in such a country that quickly forget our differences to come together as one family.  God must be so proud of us when we put others above ourselves and pity differences to the side for the common good.  Having said that and meaning every word, there is another truth that is being ignored and avoided which must also be spoken and since no one else seems to want to say it out loud, I will. If what I am hearing i...

Hurricane Sandy-An Act of God or Arrogance of Man

Before we really get started here, first please allow me to offer my thoughts and prayers to those most affected by Hurricane Sandy whether directly or indirectly.   We all stand together as brothers and sisters to offer any support that we can from physical labor, to donations and yes even in spirit.   Having said that let me now complete my obligation to the purpose of writing this.   Hurricane Sandy, like many other natural disasters are sometimes called “an act of God” for insurance purpose as well as to help many explain why it took place.   I find myself questioning that logic now more than ever because I have been exposed to a different point of view.   I awoke this morning with a burning desire to pen this article and I cannot honestly tell you why.   All I know is that when I get a calling such as this one, I am compelled to follow it. And so here we go.   When God first turned this world over to Adam and Eve, it was perfect. ...

Jobs may be the only silver lining to US storms cloud

With the death toll currently at 313 lives lost and billions of dollars possible, there is very little to be thankful for.   Survivors will be grateful for their lives and the lives of friends and family but may never recover from the death of those closest to them as well as those from neighboring states and communities.   The one thing that we know for sure it that America will recover and as we do in all tragedies, come together as one to help our fellow Americans rebuild better than before.   This is of course who we really are as a nation despite all of the rhetoric and vitriol spewed from a small section of this nation.   We are one and all connected to a much better and higher purpose which binds one to another. As reported by Juan Castro Olivera of the Associated Press in his article titled Sprawling devastation as US storm toll tops 310 “v iolent twisters that famously rip through the US south's "Tornado Alley" are formed when strong jet winds bringing upp...

Now is the time to invest in the NIKKEI

Associated Press writer Tomoko A. Hosaka reports in his article titled Japan feeds more money to banks as stocks slump that “ Japan's central bank pumped billions more into the financial system Tuesday to quell fears that the country's banks could be overwhelmed by the impact of the massive earthquake and tsunami.   Two cash injections totaling 8 trillion yen ($98 billion) came a day after the Bank of Japan fed a record 15 trillion yen ($184 billion) into money markets and eased monetary policy to support the economy in the aftermath of Friday's 9.0 magnitude quake that has killed thousands.   The benchmark Nikkei 225 stock closed Tuesday down 10.6 percent at 8,605.15.   Knowing the trend of how things like this happen, many investors should begin to seek an opportunity to make millions on the one thing we all know is coming, the rebuild. We all know that this is coming because all great nations will absorb the controlled and uncontrolled events of its history and come ...
