Georgia GOP Revises Reconstruction and threatens the Profits of Big Business

No other adage can be counted upon to be proven true than the adage which says that history repeats itself.   This is abundantly evident with the newest moves from the Georgia State GOP.   According to the Associated Press dot com, in an article titled “ Georgia House passes GOP bill rolling back voting access ”, it is reported that “Republican lawmakers in Georgia muscled legislation through the state House on Monday that would roll back voting access, over the objection of Democrats and civil rights groups gathered at the Capitol to protest.   The bill comes after record turnout led to Democratic wins in Georgia’s presidential election and two U.S. Senate runoffs. House Bill 531 passed the lower legislative chamber by a vote of 97-72. It now goes to the state Senate for more debate. The far-reaching bill would require a photo ID for absentee voting, limit the amount of time voters have to request an absentee ballot, restrict where ballot drop boxes could be loc...

Before Reparations-Black America has a greater need

To say that I was surprised to be directed toward an article titled “Evanston, Illinois to begin distribution of up to $25K in reparations to Black residents” written by DeMicia Inman for Yahoo News dated March 4, 2021 would be an understatement.   I guess my surprise came when I realized that this action, while maybe of good intentions, would clearly do more harm than good in the long run.   The article reported that “the midwestern city is the first in the country to establish reparations with a commitment of $10M over the next decade.  In Evanston, Illinois, eligible Black residents will receive reparations up to $25K as part of a commitment from the city. ABC News reported that the city, north of Chicago, will begin issuing payments this year. 5th Ward Alderman Robin Rue Simmons pushed for the legislation. She was inspired to work on closing the racial wealth gap through her own experience growing up Black in Evanston and still living there t...

Is it true that God does not care if today’s Religious Leaders are rich?

There is a really good reason why you sometimes find yourself scratching your head when you hear any religious leaders say something that you feel is incorrect or just plain wrong.  We tend to forget that the same reasoning used by them to justify not trusting any other religion besides the one that they are pushing is that it is a religion not of God and the quoted scriptures of those books are simply words written by a man.  They seem to wish us to believe that only those who can quote book, chapter and verse of certain passages are expert and especially if they were awarded a certificate or diploma from some school that specializes in religious teachings but we know that even satan, himself, could quote the Bible. One of the many lies some religious leaders wishes us to believe is that God is okay with them being rich in material things and not in deeds but as with many other things, you know deep within your soul that this is wrong when you hear it but because so many...

Meet the Old/New Slave Masters

I find it quite ironic sometimes when people or a group of people tends to blame their circumstances on a few.  Regardless of how true it may be or how perception makes it appear true one thing is for certain.  We jail people for selling drugs on the street but reside in a country that is the biggest supplier of drugs and we claim that government and politicians control the blood flow of a nation when we know that this is not the case and clearly see examples of these very people and entities being controlled by that one group of men/women who cater to or control that one huge slave master we all serve whether we wish to or not.  That slave master is those who created and control the algorithms’ which create and measure all human being s by what we refer to as a credit score.  So let’s take a few minutes to greet our slave masters and take this time to appreciate what we have allowed them to do to us. Now we know that no credit score or any piece of paper can tr...

Why thinking that we can erase the World’s problems is a myth

John F. Kennedy is quoted as once saying “these are man-made problems and can be solved by man” which on its face is true but in reality are about as false those long eye lashes for some women and that toupee for some men.  It’s not false because John F. Kennedy was wrong; it is false because we sincerely miss that one ingredient that is necessary to solve the problems.  That ingredient, my people is called wholesale desire. I say that because it is true number one and we all know it number two.  We see it played out all the time right before our eyes and still we don’t get a clue.  We see some cities fixing their budget problems and making their cities safer for the residents and citizens yet so many more cities are rampant with crime and budget problems beget other problems regardless of those we elect and send to government offices to fix them.  You see that in one group battling a cause and making great progress but the problem still exist because we mi...

Big money, big houses, big cars leads to much bigger problems

When it comes to being rich, many of us pray for that more than anything else because we have been made to believe that being rich is truly where it’s at.  We think that if we are rich, we can buy anything and everything our little hearts desires and that will erase all of our pain, suffering and bad memories from existence forever.  We believe that being rich will make others like us more and accept us better.  We believe that everyone would be our friend and no one would want to be our enemy because with money, you are elevated high above all others and the sun shine upon you brightly each and every day.  No clouds will ever appear in your world if you are rich and no more rainy days for you and those who now are willing to subject themselves to your every whim.  This may sound good on paper and even look good in a movie but be aware people, this is nowhere near the truth and if you really did wish to educate yourself, you would find that being rich is like a...

Your only true limitations are those you place upon yourself

Growing up in the south, I heard many stories and was lied to many times.  The stories I heard of was about the accepted fact that black men were either destined for jail, the graveyard or limited to working as a farm hand or in the local cotton gin.  I heard these stories from both blacks and whites and after a while began to believe them and settle in for what I was destined to do.  What changed was among those stories was the fact that as a black man, it would be a miracle to even graduate high school.  Like all children growing up, I dreamed of that big house with that white picket fence surrounding it and being able to walk out on my porch and be addressed as mister instead of boy.  To be able to purchase what I wanted when I wanted and do for my mother more than she had ever done for me.  I wanted her to be proud of the boy that she had raised and the man I had become.  It was my desire to not have her want for anything and not have to work so h...

What may be driving our veterans to suicide could be our every day activities

I have often sat up many nights wondering why so many good men and women are taking their own lives after enduring so many traumas, drama, pain and suffering.  After they may have seen their best friend die right in front of them or held them in their arms as they took their last breath.  Whether it had to pick up pieces of brethren, hoping that by some miracle a Navy Corpsman/woman or some doctor can put them back together and make them whole like they were just minutes before.  Whether their dreams and nightmares are any similar to mine and make me not wish to sleep for the fear of dreaming.  I often wonder if I am personally doing enough to help my fellow brothers and sisters and why a country who says they so love their troops are not doing more.  I wonder these things and other things but the answer seems to come back to one solid clue.  We are losing the good souls not only because of the things I just mentioned but other things that no one wishes to...

Is School Counselors a waste of money?

Can someone please tell me when the job of school counselor went from teach our children how to settle disputes without violence and morphed into their only job being changing a student’s class schedule, handing out those class schedules and locker combinations?  Maybe it’s just me and this was always the case.  If so then please forgive my interruption but if it’s not then it is high time we looked at reversing that policy and put them back to the purpose of which that position was formed. I thought that a school counselor’s job was to teach our children how to resolve disputes without violence even if that student home life and surroundings are filled with it.  I thought they were allowed to pull each student into their offices, find out what the real problem was and then find avenues to fix that issue so that student could proceed with getting a good quality education and not be allowed to fall through the cracks of a system normally comprised of people with grown...

Prison Reform can cure the ills of a city facing escalating crime and here’s how

One of our local news station here in Rockford, Illinois, WREX posted a story on their website titled “ Several armed robberies reported in Rockford ”  by Breane Lyga and leave it to our local closet Klan members to be the first to chime in with comments and statements that would make most people say shut up.  They offer solutions that simply don’t make no sense because these are the same solutions they offer what any story that they comment on.  It’s somewhat annoying to read these things and often times you skip them thinking that they are not worth the time.  In this case you would be wrong because one of the comments did have smart advice and caused me to think of how we can put a serious halt to all this crap without violence as many suggest. The article reported that; “ The entire city of Rockford is on high alert after a string of robberies to people and businesses. Police confirm at least 13 armed robberies since 3 p.m. this afternoon and 12 of them seem...

If this is true does Senator Tom Cotton have to give Israel their money back?

I found this article titled “ Israel Paid Senator Tom Cotton $1 Million to Block the Iran Nuclear Deal written by Keith Foote and I have a question.  If this is true and Senator Cotton failed in his attempt to block the deal does he have to give the money back?  Now contrary to what we want to believe, all that you find on the internet is not true so it is only a question.  I can tell you if I or anyone I know accepted money for a job but failed to deliver, we would surely have to refund the money and if we took too long to do so, we would find ourselves in a court.  Just wondering if we have somehow provided those in politics a “get out of responsibility free card” or something like that.  Now the article did say that “ The Kristol’s Emergency Committee for Israel gave Tom Cotton nearly $1 million in his race for the Senate just five months ago and maybe it was not for the reason this article says.  Maybe it was because Tom Cotton convinced them that...

U.S. Women‘s Soccer Champions treated like Chumps

While we celebrate the 5-2 victory of the U.S. Women’s Soccer Team against Japan, we can’t help but to see this as historic but maybe not in the way you would think.  Yes to say that they took their defeat last year hard but never let it stop those from working even harder at their tasks for this victory would be an understatement.  They put in the work and the results speak for themselves.  This victory is historic for what we learned after the win. According to an article written by Chris Isidore for CNN Money titled “ Women World Cup champs win waaaaay less money than men ” it reports that “ the U.S women's World Cup team are champs. But they're being paid far less than men on losing teams. The women's team won $2 million from FIFA for winning this year's tournament. Last year, the German men's team collected $35 million after winning the 2014 World Cup.  That works out to a little less than 6 cents on the dollar.  In fact the 16 men's teams that were el...

The Misplaced Anger of the Immigration Debate from us less than loving Christians

How many times have we heard that “they are taking all of our jobs” as the primary reason we need a wall built around this country or the primary reason we need gun-toting vigilantes’ helping our border patrol cruising our lower borders?  If you have heard this, then I can only assume that you must have forgotten that many of our ancestors came here as immigrants whether they came of their own free will or against their will.  Regardless of how they got here, we are here now and instead of dealing with the real reason for our so-called immigration problem, we still wish to believe the answer lies within a strong more restrictive entry into this country.  We still wish to believe that those who travel those hundreds of miles are not here to seek a better life but seek to infiltrate and rob us of the wondrous opportunities that America provides.  Well I hate to burst your bubble, America but nothing could further from the real truth. Our fight for equality and inc...

Gordon Gekko is Wrong, Greed is not good but it may be Necessary

For those of you who may not know and ask the question who is Gordon Gekko?  Gordon Gekko was a character made famous by Michael Douglas in an Oliver Stone film called “Wall Street” in 1987 but what made Gordon Gekko more famous was his saying which many have embraced and swear by today.  The character said that greed was good and since then many have been trying to prove this statement.  Most dictionaries define greed as “an excessive desire to acquire or possess more than what one needs or deserves, especially with respect to material wealth” and in that regards many say this is what makes it bad and not a good thing.  They say greed makes one selfish and insensitive to the needs of others because they are so consumed with their needs only.  They say that greed leads many to risk their very soul to obtain that high again and again never getting enough of living by a means envied by others.  I must say I agree with many of these takes and know deep within...

M&T Bank Busted for Discrimination but you can beat they are not the only

Nikole Hannah-Jones wrote an article for ProPublica titled “Housing Enforcement Group Sues M&T Bank for Discrimination” and reports within it that “The unusual lawsuit draws on secret videotapes and recordings to argue that the bank’s loan officers discriminated against blacks, Latinos and Asians who applied for mortgages.  One of the nation's largest banks discriminates against black, Latino and Asian homebuyers by offering lesser qualified white borrowers higher loan amounts and using hidden racial criteria in one of its loan programs, according to a lawsuit filed this week in federal court in Manhattan. The suit also accuses the bank of steering homebuyers to certain neighborhoods based on their race or ethnicity.  The lawsuit claims that M&T Bank violated the landmark Fair Housing Act, a 1968 law that sought to end discriminatory lending practices and limit the historic segregation of many of the country's cities. The suit was filed by the Fair Housing Justice Cen...

The Islamic State Caliphate Coming Soon to a State near You

Say hello to the newest members of the Islamic State’s desire for a caliphate.  Where is this new caliphate, you ask, well its taking root in your state and local governments as we speak.  What do I mean and where is my proof, well let’s start this off from the beginning, now pay very close attention because there are some serious twists and turns in this journey that if you drift off, you will be lost. It all begins within that beloved book that many of us lay false claim to, we know it as the Bible.  In the beginning, there were those who were seen as privileged and above reproach, these individuals were allowed to make all of the rules and regulations that those they viewed less than them would be forced to follow.  Their intent was never to have those of privilege subjected to the rules that they imposed and they never lost sight of that goal.  There were only a select few who was even able to stand up in front of others and preach the word of God....

Big Oil Big Push for Higher Gas Prices and Profits begins now

I was wondering when big oil was going to launch their fight to convince people that they should demand higher gas prices so that they could get back to making record profits but I did not think a CIA Insider would be used to initiate that effort.  I would have thought some bought-off politician would have been the spark that started the fuse but I guess it goes to show, big oil is not afraid to use whatever and whomever they must to achieve their goals. I get this from reading and article titled “ CIA Insider: “Forget Iran, Iraq, Ukraine, and Syria this is where WWIII will start ” which appears on Keith Fitzgerald’s website Total Wealth Research.com which states “Should the rise of conflicts across the Middle East and Ukraine serve as a warning sign that something much more dangerous is approaching?  According to Jim Rickards, the CIA’s Asymmetric Warfare Advisor, the answer is yes.  In a startling interview he reveals that all 16 U.S. Intelligence Agencies have beg...

Death of 3 Year Old Exposes a Larger Truth

This too is a story seldom told and often overlooked but this story here points to a much larger issue and it is the issue of how important we think paying child support is over how much more important non-custodial parental involvement is.  The article is titled “ Police: 3-Year-Old Hung Up By Feet, Beaten, Killed In Pennsylvania ” taken from WABC-TV Channel 7 Eyewitness News.  The article reports that “Police say a man and his girlfriend are charged with murdering the girlfriend's 3-year-old son.  District Attorney Tom Hogan of Chester County, Pa., announced the arrests of Gary Fellenbaum and Jillian Tait Thursday morning. He says Fellenbaum, his wife, and girlfriend, Tait, all lived in a trailer park on Hope Lane in West Caln Township.  Police say Fellenbaum, Tait, and another witness confessed that the little boy had been beaten with blunt and sharp objects, whipped, taped to a chair with electrical tape and beaten, hung up by his feet and beaten, leading to his...

My how the Might have Fallen

If you wish to know just how powerful Satan is look no further than this article written for Cop Block titled “ CUYAHOGA FALLS POLICE: CIVIL FORFEITURE OF ALMOST 800K ”  in it is reported “On Thursday they posted on their Facebook page about an arrest they made of a local barber. After the arrest was made, a search warrant was conducted at the home of the person who was arrested. During that search warrant officers discovered a large deal of cash in the residents safe.  Cuyahoga Falls Police officers and local media outlets are calling this find the largest drug bust in the city’s history. The only problem is no drugs were found. At least no mention of drugs has been made by anyone involved in the investigation.  The owner runs a barber shop which is an all cash business.  He makes $70,000.00 a year and he only spends $30,000.00 each year that leaves him with $40,000.00. He has been a very successful barber for over 20 years. That explains the large sum of money in ...

How Favoritism and Nepotism are Killing Businesses

We often hear some businesses talk about bringing in some new blood because the ideas which might have launched and kept the company going are now drying up.  It is believed by many that this concept is best described when it is said to be  “thinking outside of the box”, but what they do not know is the very same blood that they attempt to infuse is the very same blood that has been there all this time. I speak of sons and daughters who step in to take the place of another who happens to be the parent or family of the one that they replace.  Back in the day, recruiters used to travel around and talk to different people of different backgrounds to compose the company of diverse individuals who can coordinate and compromise on fresh ideas.   That appears to only be the actions of scouts who search for athletes and not what real business recruiters do.  Business owners have been lulled into a false sense of believing that if the father or mother was an ex...
