Which is worst the Claim of Birtherism or the Claim of Just Lucky?

Many of us have heard some say over and over again that the president should never had been allowed to run because he was not born in the United States.   We have heard this for so long that many of us quickly ignore those who say that not because we do not wish to face the truth but because we are not insane enough to allow truth to be formed into a lie.   Now, one of my favorite people of Washington, Chris Matthews said on his show “Hardball” that it could be just the “luck of Obama” that is why this president is successful.   Both of these ideas share one common thread.   That common thread is the illegitimacy of Barack Obama.   The birth conspiracy means that his parents had to foresee that he would be running for president in order to make sure he could win which means manipulating the announcement of his birth and paying to have a false birth certificate created.   The problem with the lucky argument is it assumes that this president does not p...

Media Chasing the Wrong Shiny Object

At some point one would think that all the venting of ideas and speculation as to why the Obama Administration is taking certain actions, someone would stumble upon this one.   Regarding the Attorney General sitting down with journalist, off the record, many well-established, news bureaus say that they refuse to speak based on the off the record meeting with them because they want to be able to write about it.   Some are sitting down because they say it is important to hear what the Justice Department has to say and that this issue needs to be addressed and finished.   For me I say this. I salute those who are willing to sit down because it says to me that they not only have nothing to hide or fear but that they are willing to help solve the problem instead of stretching it out to sell more page views, newspapers or increase viewership.   Those who refuses, sends a message that they seek to keep this thing alive and may not really have anything worthwhile to h...

The Tale of Two Debates-Obama vs. Romney 1

Having not being able to view the Obama-Romney Debate live and in person, I subjected myself to hearing the recap from pundits, commentators and those experts who seem to have their finger on the pulse of the political events shaping our world.  According to them, I half expected to see Mitt Romney as an aggressive overseer, holding a whip and taming both Barack Obama and the moderator Jim Lehr.  The vision I had was Romney’s complete command from beginning to end and Obama just standing in a corner somewhere refusing to look in Romney’s direction in fear of being lashed for disobedience.  However after watching it in it’s entirety, the debate that I saw was completely different than the one I had heard about.  This made me begin to questioned if I had witnessed a completely different one. The one that I saw, showed me how gracious Obama really is toward someone he disagrees with.  It showed me that he could deliver a devastating and direct hit to his opponen...

Democrats Folly

Move over Jon Stewart, there’s another show which should soon come to Comedy Central and it is titled “Democrats Folly”.   It’s a story about Progressive, Liberal and Moderate Democrats who travel the country addressing the same problems that’s been plaguing the African-American, Hispanic, Middle Class, seniors and Veteran Communities for years. This story begins in 2009, where all hopes were laid at the feet of one man and each time this one man did not perform as many wanted him to, these democrats would gather together and rant about his inability to fix their problems.   Some will demand that he become as stubborn as his opposition and fight, fight, fight.   They will insist that he stand his ground and never compromise because that’s what they would do.   Of course none of them are under the same intense pressure that this one man is nor are they privy to all of the information and head winds he face each day from several different directions at the same time, ...

Mitch Daniels run for president may be short lived

While I had never really thought much about whom the Republicans fielded as their nominee for president in 2012, I am a political junkie and was attempting to listen about those that may throw their hat into the ring.   Political operatives and pundits know much more about these possible candidates than I ever will but after hearing the pros and cons of those believed to be in the running, I was aspired to speak about just one of them. Watching Hardball with Chris Matthews, he was speaking about Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels with Susan Page and Mark Halperin.   I heard them mention that those that supported George Bush, high level GOP personnel and maybe even Bush himself was anxious to get behind him.   Tom LoBianco of the Associated Press wrote an article titled Ind. governor's wife mum about White House plans in which it was reported that “instead he demurred, much as he has over the last few months, in his 14-minute introduction of his wife. And she said nothing...

As the lunacy continues

I was watching Hardball with Chris Matthews this evening and the topic of conversation was lawmakers in Texas who seemed to feel that this country may soon be taken over by Shari Law.   Sharia “ literally means "the path to a watering hole."( www.religioustolerance.org ). Chris’ guest was David Korn from Mother Jones Magazine and Jack O’Reilly the Mayor of Dearborn, Michigan.   The reason Mayor O’Reilly was invited during this segment is because those Texas lawmakers claimed that this invasion of this path to a watering hole would originate in Dearborn. Just in case you wanted to know more, there are four main schools of Sharia law:   ·          Hanbali: This is the most conservative school of Shari'a. It is used in Saudi Arabia and some states in Northern Nigeria. ·          Hanifi: This is the most liberal school, and is relatively open to modern ideas. ...

The Four Renegades

Sorry Chris Matthews and Rachel Maddow but I think that you might be wrong regarding “The Four Renegades”. Ben Nelson, Claire McCaskill, Joe Manchin and the other guy that I can’t remember.   Both of you spoke about these four escaping form the Democratic Reservation by looking at a way to change the “mandate” in the new healthcare law.   I must admit I thought the same when I first heard it but after listening to Ben Nelson explains it, I’m leaning more toward a different direction. I am looking at them doing more than some others who also say that they support this president.   President Obama asked to have his feet kept to the fire but I do not believe that he wanted us to be the ones who traveled with the rope to tie him up as keeping his feet to the fire.   Anyone can sit around and complain about anything but to be of any assistance, you have to also be filled with solutions.   I hear a lot of disagreement but no solutions.   Getting back to the four...
