There is a really good reason why you sometimes find yourself scratching your head when you hear any religious leaders say something that you feel is incorrect or just plain wrong.  We tend to forget that the same reasoning used by them to justify not trusting any other religion besides the one that they are pushing is that it is a religion not of God and the quoted scriptures of those books are simply words written by a man.  They seem to wish us to believe that only those who can quote book, chapter and verse of certain passages are expert and especially if they were awarded a certificate or diploma from some school that specializes in religious teachings but we know that even satan, himself, could quote the Bible. Was checking my email and ran across this email from a group calling themselves the Dream Defenders titled “No One Hand Should Have All That Power”  in it talks about the power of social media and how we as human being allows it to have so much control over our lives.  The over-all message appears to be “Millions of our youth are internalizing the notion that democracy is the ability to say and do as you please without the responsibility of consequences or to a collective greater than oneself” and it calls for all of us to “think of our responsibilities to others in everything that we do and build”.  While I must say that I can see, understand and agree with their point, this email made me began to realize that we, as human beings, do this with so many other things including but not limited to social media.  You hear it in the speech of mostly anyone you come in contact with when they say, I would have done something different had I been in charge and it has app...

One often wonders why this world is seemingly to be going to hell in a hand basket and depending on whom you ask you might get several interpretations as to why.  Well, let it be said that I am not above spouting my simple little opinion on that subject as well.  Now fair warning, to some this may appear offensive and if so then may I remind you that we all have a right to our opinion even if those opinions may not be right.  For some this will make you think and if it does then my task is complete because the worst thing ever in this world can those God has placed to protect all that he has built do is not think for ourselves. When I first read the article titled “ Churches Sever Ties With Boy Scouts For Accepting Gay Youth” written by David Crary for the Associated Press, I was furious but the more I read, the more it became clear to me that these so-called churches are doing nothing but fulfilling the scriptures as written and taught by Jesus himself.   I say this to the Boys Scouts of America, hold your head up and hold it high, a man more worthy of reverence endured something quite similar to what you may be experiencing now, that man was Jesus Christ. I was awaken this morning with a message for all of us, especially to those who are parents, grandparents, educators, instructors and those who have  a platform to address the masses. This message is one of frankness and one that many of us try so very hard to avoid saying because we worry about being “politically correct”.  It’s about the “true” evil that exists in this world and is all around us twenty-four hours a day. It is time for us to stop pretending that we will ever be able to rid this world of evil.  Evil of any and all kind.  Even God Almighty is not able to accomplish this and if it is difficult for him, we all should admit that it is more than far outside of our range to eliminate.  In this life, there are and always will be good and evil.  Even though we would love to believe that evil only exist in a very small portion of us, we know for a fact that evil can immerse even the strongest of us. If you have been listening to politicians in both Washington and the numerous states within the United States, you have heard that many proclaim their disdain for Sharia Law and some have even went as far as to make it against the law to use sharia Law here in the United States. While this can be understood by many of us, it appears that these same die-hard  opposers  of Sharia Law are now going far and beyond to make sure that Americans follow some of the same principles as depicted in that law.  Many politicians and religious scholars freak out when anyone mentions homosexuality and run around like a chicken with its head chopped off.  They look for ways to insure that those who participate in this are never made whole and welcomed into this widely diverse and divided world.  Same can be said about Sharia Law.  It is reported that Sharia Law homosexual sex is illegal under most interpretations and even though the penalties may differ sect to another...

On my Internet Christian Radio Show, A Twist of Faith, I constantly speak about phony religious leaders claiming to speak from the word of God only to recommend actions that is contrary to his teachings.   There is no greater call than to serve our God and there is no greater responsibility than that of a servant catering to and looking out for the poor, and those less fortunate.   Anyone paying even the slightest of attention knows that this is not what is happening. These leaders have the eyes and ears of lawmakers yet help to promote or refuse to take a stand when they know that laws being passed will hurt, harm, discriminate or demote any section of beings that should always be considered God’s children too.   Religious leaders used to be more concerned with helping a sinner change his/her way through confession of their sins to God and making the necessary changes in their lives to walk the right path but not anymore.   The main thought now is getting more ...
