Often time’s things happen in life that forces us to ask the question “What was that about” and when that happens there are but two clear choices.  The first is you deserve the fire for what you did but choose not to remember or it is what is referred to as “displaced anger”.  In order to know which one, take a step back and search your very soul to find out if it was truly something you did.  If it was then simply apologizing will correct the situation but if it wasn’t then take heart in knowing that the anger you just witness is an indication of something much deeper and if that person is truly a friend.  It is a sign that maybe you need to offer your help in solving. Many times anger directed toward us is really not about us and more about a deeper unsettling of the person expressing that anger.  Suppose you have finally gotten your fill of someone seemingly to be taking advantage of you.  You feel less like telling them where to go and drawing them...

For so long people have been trying to explain in a clear way how allowing those who are better equipped to handle those issues for which you are not equipped to handle.  This is what your grandparents and parents meant when they said worry about the things you can control and those that you can’t turn them over to God.  Maybe justice will not come when you wish it to or when you call but make no mistake justice will come guaranteed. I am sure that you have heard this saying before “God works in mysterious ways” and I believe it is a saying to try explaining why things happen that we don’t quite know how to put into words.   I've  used this phrase myself, a time or two, and just used it recently.  That was until I was sitting in front of my “idiot box” or television and saw this commercial for a website called “Christian Mingle”.  The ad goes on to say that they have so many members and many of those members often think that they had to wait on God to move on finding them that perfect person while God is telling them that it is their turn to move.  I heard that and almost immediately, I was struck with the sense that this commercial was wrong and maybe so were we for thinking all we needed to do was sit back and wait on God to act.  Maybe the reason many of us miss out on golden opportunities and open doors that God has presented us with because we have become lazy and wish not to take...

Lawmakers of all stripes continue to make the case for the numerous rules and regulations government and politics put abroad that the primary purpose is to combat evil.  In even smaller circles you might hear a few of them express the idiotic ideas that making these laws will even eliminate evil.  It’s idiotic because it is not true and nor will anyone be able to completely erase evil from this world or any world.  Evil is in this world and all worlds to stay and there is nothing we can do about it except control it and not let it control us.  We do have the power to control and defeat evil and this power was given to us by the new covenant and the shedding of Jesus’ blood on the cross.
