Americans are quick to try and point out just how wonderful we are as a country and how the example we set to the world should be followed without question but what we forget is that America never started out that way and it only became what it is today from those who were of influence and authority, finally choosing to learn from history so as not to repeat it.  The width of history is great and it expands over billions of years.  In order to achieve a more perfect union, those of us willing must be courageous enough to take apart our history and restore it one piece at a time.  History is far too vast to fix in one setting which is why it takes generations upon generations to pick up where the previous generation left off.  One clear example of this is discrimination. I don’t often place much stock in old wise sayings or  other kinds of superstitions but every once in a while a thought occurs to me which not only revives those old sayings but possibly creates another in my mind which I believe is placed there to share.  For some reason or another, I awoke this morning with a thought of cleanliness being next to Godliness just like arrogance is next to ignorance, I’ll explain. Sometimes the best lessons are those things we learn from the past because history teaches us that human nature rarely changes, but the major difference between good history and bad history is not the person or people written about it’s the results of their actions.  Case in point:  The pilgrims ran from England and the result is them being credited with establishing a new nation later called America.  The slaves ran from their masters and the result is freedom and a much better opportunity at a better life.  These are examples of lessons from the past about running away from a problem that ultimately resulted in much better things for the runner and all those that came afterwards.  An example of bad history is when a young child run away from home to seek a better life which normally results in finding that the better life does not exist and results in  lonesomeness ,  isolation  and often times more trouble than staying home.  An...

So much is made of how any particular race is viewed by a society and many times that society is often overshadowed by hos that particular race views itself.  Highly educated and very intelligent people who are of those races may often times speak of how it should be elevated but the rhetoric and actions are often so far apart from each other.  Fortunate people of these races may find themselves in a position to complete the process of elevation but for some unknown reason fail in the attempt or never even attempt it at all.  This is an article dedicated to those in a position to elevate a race but for some reason are failing to do and speculations as to why that might be the case. Well lookie here, the GOP may have finally found it’s “extremely literate conservative African-American.   Who says that wishes do not come true? According to Jonathan Karl of ABC News in his series Spinners and Winners he profile Mia Love of Utah as a New Kind of Republican?    He reports that “ Mia Love is unlike any Congressional candidate ever -- she is African-American, she is Mormon, and she is conservative. Republicans have deemed her race in Utah's newly drawn 4th district one of the top ten most important races in the country, vowing to spare no expense to get her to Congress. I was somewhat taken aback when I heard Ann Coulter saying something close to “our blacks are better than theirs”.   When did her Republican Party take ownership of conservatism? Being a conservative is not limited to any party and does not tag anyone as a particular member of any party.   There are conservatives who are members of the Democratic Party as well as Independents.   It has never been a big part of any real party to label themselves as one party or another.   We are mostly conservative in some areas while being liberal in others.   We can hold principles from all areas while following either party.   This explains why many of us may agree with those of our own party while also disagreeing with them at the same time. While I am certainly for holding responsible those who are supposed to be responsible, there is something about this case that I must disagree with.   According to Jesse Solomon of CNN and his article titled New York child welfare workers charged in historic case , “t wo former child services case workers have been charged in the death of a 4-year-old girl they were supposed to be monitoring.
