The Christian Way to Solve Conflict

Experts of all kinds have their own ways of trying to solve the world problems and the harder they try the further behind the problem we seem to end of up.   Many say because the roads to settling conflicts are bulky and complicated.   Well I disagree; my thought is conflicts of all kind can easily be settled by following the word of God.   A small piece of my argument is below. The Middle East Conflict centers around what the Israelites want and what Hamas say they deserve but it goes much deeper than that.   Neither will ever be satisfied if they were able to get everything that they desire, why because their opposition to each other has nothing to do with policies, procedures or ideology.    It is simply a misguided romance with material things and nothing more.   Same can be said about the Religious Right in this country and the ignorance of both parties which govern our nation.   It’s about who is more powerful and more influential and...

North Korea says no to Nukes and Hamas breaks with Iran highlights today’s Obama Administration’s Foreign Policy

Commentators, pundits and experts wonder aloud why it is that this President and his Administration does not get the credit that they deserve.   While it is true that it is due to those opposing this president at every step are allowed to misrepresent his accomplishments, it may be also because many news agencies concentrate more on the confrontations than they do the real meat of the argument. Take for example an article written by Laura Rozen for The Envoy titled U.S. announces diplomatic breakthrough with North Korea .   All day today, we have heard nothing much mentioned about this huge milestone in the fight to give credit where it belongs.   Instead they have spoken mostly about the Arizona and Michigan primaries.   Now while that is also an important news story, I believe that something this huge would at least get an honorable mention. In this article Ms. Rozen reports that “t he United States announced a major diplomatic breakthrough with Nort...

Hamas is under the wrong impression

The leaders of Hamas should know by now that they will receive no real outside help in securing a Palestinian state through violence but seem to be still stuck in the past.   According to an article written by Aaron Heller of the Associated Press titled Gaza militants fire rockets deep into Israel “ Hamas, which violently wrested control of Gaza from Abbas loyalists in June 2007, sees the diplomatic standstill as proof that only an armed struggle will win the Palestinians a state.” Apparently they have not learned anything from the people of Egypt and others who used peaceful protests to achieve their goals.   The only reason Egypt turned slightly violent was when they were fired and assaulted first.   Hamas wish to be the first to push violence and wonders why they have not been taken seriously.   They forget that even though Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas is their rival, he has been trying to peacefully secure that same goal.   “Abbas, who rules on in t...
