There is not much that can get my dandruff up more than seeing an official abuse their authority or say one thing while doing another.  You see this a lot in politicians, promising one thing on the campaign trail but seemingly to quickly forget their first few hours in office but they are not as closely related to the community as a whole than those elected to sit on our benches in our courts.  Most Americans see this place as the only place left on earth where they can get a fair shake and the impartiality of those wearing that robe would listen, hear and understand their plight, provide them with a sense of belonging and even help where ever they could.  Today’s justice is not benched with judges such as these but people with their own agenda, their own bias and an overwhelming mixture of self-importance.  This can clearly be seen in the case reported by an article titled “ Florida judge berates domestic abuse victim, sentences sobbing woman to jail ” by Melissa C...

I know that I cannot be the first to suggest such an unthinkable solution to what many are calling our over populated prison system but I don’t hear much coming from those born with a microphone.  I am very much aware that the reason for this is the enormous amount of money this system generates for those able to capture it and make it private.  I am aware that it could be that those closet Klan members (black, white and Hispanic) sitting on America’s bench, would rather keep their finger pressed down upon those that they see as beneath them and this is the only legal way that they can do that.  I am aware that the threat of jail used to be all that anyone would need to get a confession even from an innocent person and now all it appears to be is a warehouse where those who we see as inferior can be placed without it ever being referred to as a concentration camp. Now I know that I can not be the only one asking this question but it appears that I am the only one addressing it.   One has got to wonder when this all changed from a society where those who can, help those you can’t into a world where those in a position to help dwell so deep within their own selves that they refuse to extend and share their knowledge and expertise to anyone or anything unless it can be done for a price.   I cast this light upon our justice system and those entities associated with it whose primary task would be to help control or eliminate desires to cause harm or injury to ourselves or our fellow man. As a former military member, anything that has something to say about the military will always spark my interest.   This article by Donna Cassata of the Associated Press titled Health care costs a hefty price tag for Pentagon is no exception.   Since some find approaching this topic as lethal as touching the third rail in the subway, I’ve decided to offer another way of thinking about this. After reading this article by The CNN Wire Staff titled Suspect in Colorado bomb case had been recently released from prison , I was quite disturbed that this suspect may have been released too early.   I had thoughts of the penal system was constructed to rehabilitate but this person must have fallen through the cracks.   I wondered why someone would commit a crime especially as reported “t he suspect in the attempted bombing of a Colorado mall was released from a federal prison exactly one week before, a federal law enforcement source told CNN Sunday.   The FBI Denver Joint Terrorism Task Force identified the subject of a nationwide manhunt as Earl Albert Moore, 65.” After thinking about it for some time, I had another thought.   Earl Albert Moore is 65 years old and maybe there was no one left on the outside for him.   Being a former law enforcement official, I have learned that some people find it much easier to cope in prison or jail than they do out and I...
