America Ideal Opportunity for Advancement Thanks to Donald Trump

For those who have heard but refuse to believe the saying that “everything happens for a reason”, history provides us with the blueprint to advance and failing to take advantage of this opportunity leaves us unprepared and woefully ignorant of how bad things can get. Today, we stand with clear knowledge that the real distance between a democracy and an autocracy is a razor’s edge.   We know this because the first term as president by Donald Trump, enabled by those around him such as David Pecker who made up stories against his political rivals while finding and killing stories about Trump.   A Republican party that did not drop him like a sack of potatoes after the Excess Hollywood tape came out and instead choose to continue to push the narrative that they knew was a lie about him being an honest and decent person.   Mitch McConnell who was compensated to finally take out Roe vs Wade by blocking President Obama from appointing Supreme Court Judges as well as a w...

The John Boehner Mitch McConnell Gambit that crippled a Nation

In 2008, the Republican Party promised jobs, healthcare, tax reform and immigration reform.  They made other promises as well but far too many to count.  The opposition parties, Democrats and Independents, sat idly by and allowed the GOP to win big and capture both house of the government.  The promise of “once we get in, let us show you how to govern” went quickly out the window and control was now in the hands of those whose primary goal was never to govern because they didn’t know how.  Their primary goal was to disrupt and make the Obama Administration the laughing stock of the world.  In 2010, John Boehner and Mitch McConnell concocted a plan.  They pulled together a meeting in Hersey PA which was supposed to be a meeting where they debate and vote on many bills that had already bipartisan support but were never brought to the then Democratic led Senate.  They were intent on proving their point of knowing how to lead with John Boehner delivering ...

Still waiting on those who cried about taking back their country to take back their party

For years many of us have been saying that in order for America to take back their prospective political parties, they must first remove big money but the Supreme Court and gerrymandering districts as well as the lack of true will from voters have done little in that regards.  All parties are subject to big money influence but it appears that one party, in particular, seems to be strangled by it.  Even though large donors get to have voice in the say of the Democratic Party, we are still allowed to look forward to things like the unemployment rate dropping, the stock market reaching new heights, the life-long wars end, the economy recovering, the deficit dropping and consumer confidence returning but for those in the Republican Party, nothing says more about where it stands that this article titled “ In Leaked Tape Mitch McConnell Admits The Koch Brothers Are Running The Republican Party” written by Jason Easley for Politicus USA. In it Mr. Easley reveals “Sen. Mitch McC...

The ISIL Threat and Immigration Debate Reveals Congress’ True Colors

The true definition of leadership, selfishness, bravery and courage has been demonstrated by many people but is mostly seen in war movies were the one lone hero is shown jumping on a grenade to save his fellow service members.  I guess that is one act we will not see coming from this congress. No, they much wish to avoid doing the job that they campaigned so hard to secure, the one that they are being paid so much to do.  The one that they claimed they would be better at than the other person.  Congress has and is continuing to derelict their duties but no one seems to mind.  The general public seems to be under the spell and proving an idea that many African-Americans have been saying ever since I can remember.   Growing up, I used to hear “blame it on the black man” so often that I just got used to hearing it.  As I grew older, I finally was able to realize what it meant and fought hard to help as many blacks as I could erase that excuse from thei...

This cannot be the New Face of the GOP, or is it

Not much offends me these days because so much is happening that one cannot afford to get caught up in all this unnecessary drama but when I read certain articles and view comments, I do acquire a few questions here and there. Much of the time I just either ask them quietly to myself, send a silent message to God to help me understand or just shake my heads and thank God that I do not and did not spread this type of hate to my children.  This time is different because now I feel that these questions needs answers from those who hide behind the anonymity of the internet or are comforted by money and allow these harmful acts to continue.  I say harmful but not to this nation as much as it is towards family, friends and loved ones who refuse to see the goodness in all for the sake of just belonging. I came to this decision after reading this post on Facebook by someone perpetuating the “GOPUSA”.  They posted this article “It's Time for Another Expensive Obama Family Wor...

John Boehner Smarter than the Average Tea Partier

For quite some time I have been ranting and raving about when the Republican Party will finally say enough is enough and step up to stop those who see this party as an avenue to world domination.  That day seems to have come upon us. When John Boehner first made an announcement that his caucus were no longer listening to those who wish to steer them wrong, many swore that this was the end of the road for him and they may be right but let it be known it appears that John Boehner has decided that he will go out with a bang instead of a whimper.  Career politicians on both sides of the aisle have decided to retire and get out of the rat race which has become Washington but none have begun to switch parties like many leaving the Republican Party.  They join to make a difference and instead have been led to the edge of a cliff and asked to jump.  Hearing John Boehner defy the silent minority may have been that spark that they needed to say no more. Stories begin ...

GOP and Tea Party plans to derail President Remains on track

Those who took Mitch McConnell’s admission that the primary goal was to insure that President Barack Obama was limited to one term as idle or of no substance now have to re-think.   His party, having campaigned on limited government and jobs, are now well on the road to keeping anything good from happening and holding firm to the goal Mitch McConnell set out for them.   As if the assault on union rights were not enough and the damage inflicted on women rights were only a starting point, the GOP and Tea Party are well on their way to accomplishing their mission of the Obama Administration being one term only. If you have been paying attention to the latest occurrences in Washington, you too should have come away with this same interpretation unless you choose to ignore all the signs or even think that any American, especially those elected to serve the people, would do anything and everything that they could to achieve their objective even if it means driving this nation to th...

Heated debt talks signals the end of Tea Party rule

The has been much conversation about what happened in the debt talks between President Barack Obama and the Republican’s number two man, Eric Cantor.   Everybody has their own interpretations about what that exchange meant and like everyone else, I have mine.   Mine say that the Republican Party may have received a blessing in disguise and President’s Obama frustration may just be their salvation.   Mine says that this events signals the end of Tea Party rule and the re-emergence of the real Party of Lincoln Here is my evidence and much of it comes from an article by Olivier Knox for AFP titled “ Global warnings raise stakes in US debt standoff” .   It all started when “The US hit the ceiling on May 16 and has used spending and accounting adjustments, as well as higher-than-expected tax receipts, to continue operating without impact on government obligations.”   That was when “The president began pressing for a comprehensive deal to last through his 2012 reelec...
