American made history with the nominations and confirmation of the first enlisted man given the highest job in our military.  The nomination and eventually confirmation of Chuck Hagel did more for moral within the enlisted ranks than ever but this was never noted or reported on because media seeks confrontation instead of collaboration. Now this media is all up in arms about Mr. Hagel’s resignation.  In an effort to find some point of confrontation, top media elites like Mark Murray of NBC wishes America to know that his resignation is all about the White House having no confidence in his leadership.  They speak of having this resignation coming at the wrong time and how it will be seen as disruptive to the many functions that our military is involved in right now.  Even after Chris Jansing, White House Correspondence for NBC news attempted to clear that line of thinking by reminding all that this post for Hagel was within the agreed upon 2 year hitch.  Med...

The news of Army Sergeant Bowie Bergdahl exposes mixed emotions for me as a former member of the military.  It also creates lots of questions not only for those responsible for his release but for the choices made that caused his capture and it especially compels me to slap the media for how they are about the manipulated this news to gain them more viewers and page viewers instead of just trying to report the truth. My first is the choice Sgt Bergdahl made to join the Taliban.  I say join because unless you were experiencing a “Gandhi” moment and thought just your very presence would make the relationship between Americans and the natives better, leaving the camp with just a compass and a bottle of water makes no other sense.  Once you were there and found that what you were hoping to maybe accomplishing was to no avail, where are the bruises and injuries from trying to escape during your capture for all those years?  I see no evidence that you made any attempt...

Everyone is now running around trying to find a way to stop these shootings but as we have spoken about before, you will never completely erase evil.   All you can do is get up every day and fight evil where ever you can find it but even this is not the real lesson of the Navy Yard shooting. The real lesson and results will be even less and less of minorities getting government contracts and clearances.   When the Navy learned about the shooters issues and failed to correct the problem, they laid the ground work for many more former veterans who wish to acquire small businesses and get government contracts to be denied for no other reason than mistakes made early in life especially if they are black.   Think this is nonsense, watch very carefully in the on-coming days and you will find that this is not a figment of imagination. For so long sexual harassment has always been minimized by the public as nothing more than misunderstood and misinterpreted accounts of events.  Those claiming sexual harassment have always been looked upon as “troublemakers” and we were being led to believe that anything that they say could not be trusted.  While this may be the case and some of the allegation/cases, it cannot be true in all.  Individual liberties are being trampled on because those who are alleged to have committed this crime are rich, powerful, influential or untouchable.  This may be why Jesus wept for Jerusalem just before his murder.
