For as long as I can remember, people are always trying to figure out and pretend to fix what is wrong with this country.  None has ever been successful nor will we ever be, simply because the thing wrong with America is us.  We will never be successful because we lack the drive determination and balls to fix that one entity that can make all our problems disappear and our entire suffering end.  We lack the intestinal fortitude to fix ourselves. Many a Christian leaders wishes to tell people about sinning and how one is worse than another but many times those ideas are based upon what they heard or the piecing together of certain fragments from the Bible to make their assumptions appear true.  Now the Bible does asks us to accept another person’s truth and considering all that God has done for us, this request should be quite easy to do for him.  So when I hear Christian leaders spew information about how homosexuality is worse than greed, bearing false witness and so many others, I have to accept it but that does not mean I have to like it or agree with it.  It would be safe to say that I do not. It’s becoming quite clear to me as to why many of us feel that God does not exist and it is not because of what we know is true but what we choose to accept as truth.  We know, within the very being of our soul that God does exist and he exists within each and every one of us.  We know that the true spirit of God is the image in which he created all of us and we know that what is on the outside of anyone is not anything close to the real spirit that dwells inside.  We know that we are much more alike than we care to admit and we know that righteousness is not a rite of passage or heritage but an innate sense that each of us have which compels many to do the right thing even when a force much larger is determine to convince us to do wrong. For years now many have been complaining about the state of our union and especially Black America has been crying about the state of the black community but no one involved in this struggle has ever considered that the reason these situations exist are simply because we violate, every day, the core argument of religion and we have gone so far to disguise it that many who truly wish to get on the right side of this issue cannot clearly see the lines or borders drawn by the word of God so many billions of years ago. You know I used to think that the reason why many of my fellow veterans commit suicide was due to their inability to find jobs, feed their families and keep a roof over their heads.  I used to think that it had quite a bit to do with not finding the same type of cohesiveness that they found in the military and it was because they just can’t seem to catch a break and all these so-called programs established to help them are nothing more than a smoke screen and some wealthy person looking for a tax write off of some organization making a name for themselves at the expense of those who suffer.  I used to think that this was the entire case but events of today have led me to believe there is one other thing. Trying to understand and keep some women constantly happy is an age old journey that men have been on for years and is still searching for an answer today.  One can assume that it began when Eve was born of Adam’s Ribs.  When it was first realized was probably also when the phrase “walking on eggshells” came from.
