How to Solve Problems

When it comes to understanding why there is and will always be difficult to bridge the gap or find solutions for issues, major or minor, perhaps it is because each of us have developed our way of thinking and believing by our experiences. We tend to gravitate toward those of like experiences for confirmation that we might be right and are not alone. This newly-formed herd now acts as our strength and justifies all actions we take toward maintaining our thinking and believing. This believed utopia appears to only be threatened when another individual or herd enters the equation with a different thought or belief. We make all attempts to first correct their wayward thoughts and change their wrong-headed beliefs until we discover that not all of them can or chooses to comply. Those we then label as uneducated or any other label which allows us to rest and not have to expel the energy to try and listen, learn, hear and understand their reasoning. Soon, it becomes a power str...

Are the Myth of Hell and the Power of Satan Over-exaggerated?

If any of you are a frequent reader of mine and a listener to my Twist of Faith episodes, you have probably figured out that I love to make people think about things by presenting them in a way that may answer some questions but inspire others.  For me, I have always been a little unfulfilled by the speeches and lectures of the Christian religion and in the beginning I was always wondering if it wasn’t just me because it appeared that everyone else was okay with it.  Only after surviving these fifty plus years and learning everything that I could about anything that I could have I come to realize that questioning the status quo is a good thing as long as you are willing to accept the answers you find.  This desire to question was sparked when a friend of mine posted this saying on Facebook.  “ I live for the moment the Lord knows I'm going to die when I get to hell the Lord knows I'm going to fry ”.  Just those few words got me to thinking that maybe what we ha...

The Difference between Free of Sin and being Sin-Free

Let me say right here and now that no mortal living in the flesh upon this earth, this planet and in the billions of universes seen and unseen will ever be sin free.  Being sin free means that you have detailed your life to never sin in any way shape or form which is impossible being that because you are of the flesh the very thought that you are sin free is in itself a sin.  To be free of sin simply means that your actions are not controlled or govern by sin and that is very easy to do.  In order to be free of sin, think carefully about any decision that you are about to make, then look into that decision from the prospective of another person before continuing and making that decision final.  In other words, before you strike another person who you feel has wronged you, think about all the times Jesus might have thought of knocking a few people off their pedestals but didn’t because that action would not show the true love of God our father.  That simple acti...

When did Christmas stop meaning Christ?

Back in the day, the most celebrated holiday was Christmas but now it seems to have been replaced by others thought up by particular groups.  Christmas could be found in every single home with all proudly displaying bright lights, candles and good cheer.  Not so much today as now we wish to make it seem we must celebrate  Kwanzaa  and others like it instead.  It’s as if we have to choose between one and the other to prove something to someone much more important to us than we are to ourselves and that is a shame. Could it be that many who was first taught to believe in God, stopped and therefore felt an urgent need to replace it with something that they could celebrate?  Could it be that commercially we began to sell out our beliefs for what we were being told by a television show or advertisement?  Could it be that we gave up on what I believe the true meaning of Christmas is so that we may fit in with the majority or those we thought was the maj...

How do we know that God will only allow that which he knows you can handle?

It is a statement often made but seldom ever explained which is quite unfair since it is so easy to explain.  May be we do not explain it because we do not know what to say or how to say it?  May be we do not explain because we don’t know ourselves or maybe we don’t explain it because we never really thought about it only repeated it because it sounded good to say? Maybe it is time we explained why we know that God will only allow that pain and suffering that he already knows you can handle.  We know this frankly because it is the same that he did for his only son Jesus.  Remember back in that book we call a Bible where satan wished to tempt Jesus?  Remember he had to get permission from God before he could.  God granted satan three chances to get Jesus to condemn him and three chances was all he got.  We know that he failed all three times and had to stop there because his power was nowhere near the power of God.  If he loved his son as much...

Royal Blood curses through the Veins of all Human Beings in this Universe

Before any of you blow a gasket, listen to my evidence before making your decision if what I say is a lie or not.  The dictionary defines royal as “descended from or related to a king” and if you truly believe in the Bible, call yourself a Christian or believe in a higher power, you have got to admit that the evidence I am about to lay out to you is quite compelling. Every single human being in this and the other universe were made in the image of God, can we agree on that?  I say that because, in my opinion, there is no way that Earth is the only planet in this vast universe where God only saw fit to create a world such as the one we are occupying.  If we can agree on that then consider this.  The Bible tells us that God is our father and Jesus is his son which makes Jesus our brother.  The Bible says that Jesus is a descendant of God’s throne, should that not also apply to us as well.  Are we not descendants to God’s throne as well?  To those wh...

Could an Earthly Death be the key to gaining entry into Heaven

How many times have you heard that a person, who died, here on earth, told someone who were there at the time, that they were tired and ready to go?  Maybe they told someone earlier that they would not be here much longer before they took that last breath.  Ever wondered how they knew?  I remember Dr. Martin Luther King saying that he had been on the mountain top and had seen the Promised Land, and then he said, I might not get there with you but I promise we will get to the Promised Land.  The Bible says that hell is a place full of pain and suffering which describes living on this earth to a tee.  It would explain why the Bible asks us to rejoice upon the earthly death of a loved one instead of morn.  It may explain why the Bible told us, so long ago, that the wages of sin was death and tells us to not fear death and that if we must fear death, fear not the death of the body but of the soul.  Leaving here, this earth is only death of the body....

Why bad things happen to Good People

Please don’t get it confused, I do not protest to be the sharpest tool in the shed but even I can see why bad things happen to good people.  This has always been one of the most important questions asked but never answered.  The other was why this world is going to hell in a hand basket.  I think I can answer both those now. As it is my nature, I am going to answer both these questions in the most simplest of terms I can as well as with one point.  That point is, bad things happen to good people and this world is going to hell in a hand basket because good people are sitting too long on their brains and not standing up for what they know is right fast enough. Imagine that police officer who wrote letters to his superiors in Fenton Missouri where that young man, Michael Brown was just shot and killed.  He waited several months before even doing that because he feared losing his job or being retaliated against.  At what point does fear of retaliation...

Hell in a Hand Basket

If it has ever been a wonder to you or anyone you know, what is happening to this world some of us call home?   The answer may be much simpler than you think.   I, like many others, have our own ideas and no one can really say if we are right or wrong.   All that they can do is agree or disagree; having said that, here is why I think the phrase “hell in a hand basket” fits what’s happening to all of us right now. Growing up in Brownsville, Tennessee, it was felt that each of us had a purpose.   Even though we did not know exactly what that was, it was an idea embraceable because it made each of us feel very special in our own way.   This feeling seems no more and either is it being taught to our kids who shall one day replace us as guardians of this planet.   We have become so self-centered and complacent that we no longer care what happens to our neighbor as long as what is going on over there does not spill over into our yards. This is not only ...

Heaven or Hell; Fact or Fiction

Religion has always been a subject too many of us disagree on and many use to declare war or dismiss those who oppose their way of thinking.   It was also a subject that many felt needed to be separated from politics, the government, out of school and other private places.   Few ever broach the subject unless you have the title of Reverent, Pastor, Father, Padre and Rabbi along with others that may exist.   For me I think it is sad that we can not have an intelligent conversation about religion without someone trying to force their views on another often by violence.   We are now presented with an opportunity to try and have this conversation again since Tom Breen of the Associated Press penned an article titled Who's in hell? Pastor's book sparks eternal debate which detailed the following.   “ When Chad Holtz lost his old belief in hell, he also lost his job.   The pastor of a rural United Methodist church in North Carolina wrote a note on his Facebook ...
