To understand life, one has to first define his/her definition of what life is to them, then measure their individuals lives by that definition.  The problems occur when your definition of life is not met by others and in many cases then never met by you.  Life is basically fifty (50) percent mental and fifty (50) percent emotional meaning that half the time we may be forced to mentally propel ourselves through a situation or circumstance with the other half spent on dealing with situations or circumstances based on nothing but pure feelings. We know that the true meaning of life is nothing more than perception.  If you believe that a particular group of people are lazy, shiftless, arrogant or privileged then you will more than likely proceed through your life dealing with any situation of circumstance based on that belief.  Those whom you meet will first be required by you to overcome your pre-conceived perception before ever getting an opportunity to prove you...

Been hearing this phrase being thrown around and finally got a few people to tell me what this is supposed to mean.  They tell me that it's simply watching what you say and where you say it because it could be considered offensive and if anyone or any group considers what you said or what you do as offensive then by default it is.  While this may work and make sense for many, it does not to me and therefore I call “stupid” on it.  Not because I do not care about the feelings or others or that I have not been the victim of offensive language directed toward me.  I call “stupid” on it because like being sin-free, it is virtually impossible to be and stay politically correct based on that definition. It’s impossible because in order not to offend, one must then have complete control over how their words or actions are taken by another person or a group of people.  Since none of us possess that power, how can you expect to be politically correct in all and ever...

Some years ago I was asked about what I thought the meaning of life was and along that vain, I penned an article and a book calling it “The True Meaning of Life”.  The idea behind my definition of the true meaning of life was based on perception.  How you see things will determine where you stand.  If you see greed as good then you will defend it.  If you perceive that there is good in everybody then you will look for it. If you perceive that there is a heaven and a hell then you will stand firm on those grounds.  In the search for the true meaning of life, we tend to try and ascertain it for the sole purpose of understanding why people do some of the things that they do.
