The Up-Side to President-Elect Trump

To the die-hard Democrats and strong supporters of Hillary Clinton, it is very difficult to find any up-side to the stealing of an election by 15 people who makes the ultimate decision of who will lead this country and to the die-hard Conservatives and strong supporters of Donald Trump, it is a time to celebrate and speak the words that avoided them often which is “just give the man a chance”. Now many questions comes to mind none of which seems more relevant than the idea that a female is ill-equipped to lead a nation such as this one but there is one that seems to escape even the most intelligent of our species which is when has a nation built to serve people is better served if we run this country as a business rather than as a nation of people. So far, those being interviewed for key positions is more of a who’s who of those less concerned about unity and more concerned about their own specific ideology.  This strikes fear in many and elation in others all the while th...

GOP looking for a way to stop Trump don’t its happening the way it should

People often wonder why someone would run for president and often times they say it takes a pretty large helping of arrogance to think that you could be the leader of the free world but I think that it is more than that.  I think it is simply a way for history to either repeat itself or get rewritten.  Repeat itself, when we refuse to learn from the past and get rewritten when we choose to not only learn from the past but change it.  Yes, I think the spirit of a person compels them to run or put themselves out there for public consumption so that we have a chance to demonstrate whether we want a different outcome or not.  I believe that it’s the spirit of a person which pushes them to seek public office and not simply an emotion of arrogance, desire or even duty.  I believe that this man-made body is more controlled by the spirit that dwells within it than many of us know.  The actions we take, the decisions we make and the satisfaction we seek are all...

The Best Thing that Happened at either Republicans Debates

Not much outside of media concentrating on WWDD (What would Donald do) occurred in the Republicans Debates except one of the most spectacular answers to a question anyone could have ever given.  A peak into what the majority of us would love to see more of and what we envision this nation’s political positions to always be.  I find myself agreeing strongly with some of the statements made in an article called “ 2 under-the-radar Republicans won big at the debate ” by Brett Logiurato for Business Insider dot com. Mr. Logiurato writes “ The GOP debate's hometown candidate just gave a touching answer on gay marriage. This GOP candidate barely made the debate stage —but he might be the one to watch tonight.  Four years ago, at a Republican presidential debate moderated by Fox News host Megyn Kelly, a gay soldier asked GOP candidates a question.  "Do you intend to circumvent the progress that's been made for gay and lesbian soldiers in the military?" the soldier aske...

Why do Americans toss out their God given Freedoms with the Bath Water?

If you are one of the many who think that this nation is headed to hell in a hand basket then you have also got to be willing to admit that two of the vehicles taking us there are structured politics and structured religion.  If you think that either or neither of these are true then resign yourself to remaining unaware and don’t be surprised when other things began to adopt structured politics and structured religion’s brand of Americanism. I say this because both have been slowly erasing a freedom that we were granted so may years ago but many of us either did not wish to see it or saw it but refused to stand up to stop it.  I’m talking about a freedom that was first granted to us by God Almighty himself when he sent his only son to this planet, delivered to us a new agreement between us and him and sealed that agreement with his own blood as he died on that cross.  I am talking about a freedom that was later recalled by a few slave owners and non-slave owners who ...

Still waiting on those who cried about taking back their country to take back their party

For years many of us have been saying that in order for America to take back their prospective political parties, they must first remove big money but the Supreme Court and gerrymandering districts as well as the lack of true will from voters have done little in that regards.  All parties are subject to big money influence but it appears that one party, in particular, seems to be strangled by it.  Even though large donors get to have voice in the say of the Democratic Party, we are still allowed to look forward to things like the unemployment rate dropping, the stock market reaching new heights, the life-long wars end, the economy recovering, the deficit dropping and consumer confidence returning but for those in the Republican Party, nothing says more about where it stands that this article titled “ In Leaked Tape Mitch McConnell Admits The Koch Brothers Are Running The Republican Party” written by Jason Easley for Politicus USA. In it Mr. Easley reveals “Sen. Mitch McC...

Meet Mitt Romney, Jeb Bush’s New 2016 Running Mate

Things were kind of falling into place when there was a story about Jeb Bush and Mitt Romney meeting and then there was the story titled “Jeb Bush snags top Mitt Romney Iowa strategist David Kochel” by Benjy Sarlin and Kasie Hunt but now it seems to have come full circle with the story titled “Mitt Romney is not Running for President in 2016” by Daniel Strauss for Talking Points Memo.  Many will now be asking why and to me the answer is clear.  Those wizards behind the curtain are prepared to spend billions of dollars on this round of elections and the last thing they need is a bruised and battered candidate.  They favor the younger crowd but know that after what America has just endured, someone without any kind of experience will not make it through the general elections, so they hedge their bets and last time Romney killed any chance of him ever being president when he made so many major blunders even though only a few of them was captured for prosperity. The answ...

Feinstein’s Fight with CIA is in Retaliation for Benghazi, IRS and Obamacare

Many of those who follow politics for a living has been caught by surprise of the most prominent defender of the CIA, Diane Feinstein has now taken to the floor of the Senate to openly blast this same agency.  Many cannot seem to understand how it happened even though it is being said to have something to do with the Senate Committee investigating torture being bullied by the CIA.  They may be right but I have a different take. I say that this is more about the weary Democrats being so very tired of those who block this president at every turn and cannot seem to let go of the Benghazi and IRS bone.  These Democrats see this as a way Republicans are using to gain control of empty seats and are looking for a way to counter that.  What better than tying them to torture and George W. Bush.  Since President Obama made the decision not to pursue criminal charges against those who may have had something to do with this, Democrats felt that Republicans should have ...

John Boehner Smarter than the Average Tea Partier

For quite some time I have been ranting and raving about when the Republican Party will finally say enough is enough and step up to stop those who see this party as an avenue to world domination.  That day seems to have come upon us. When John Boehner first made an announcement that his caucus were no longer listening to those who wish to steer them wrong, many swore that this was the end of the road for him and they may be right but let it be known it appears that John Boehner has decided that he will go out with a bang instead of a whimper.  Career politicians on both sides of the aisle have decided to retire and get out of the rat race which has become Washington but none have begun to switch parties like many leaving the Republican Party.  They join to make a difference and instead have been led to the edge of a cliff and asked to jump.  Hearing John Boehner defy the silent minority may have been that spark that they needed to say no more. Stories begin ...

How Democrats can not only take back the House but keep control of the Senate

Media commentators, pundits and reporters would have all of us believing that the mid-term elections are lost to democrats and control of Washington is mostly in the hands of Republicans, an opportunity for them to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.  This is a lie and the proof of this is abundantly clear if those who have the microphone could look past big money and their own personal ambitions.  They need only to get out of their comfort zones and mix with the locals.  Not just those who think like them but spend a little bit more time with those who don’t. The next time you hear anyone say that the Affordable Care Act is a job-killer and their only reason is it restricts business from creating more jobs because it cost business more to do so.  Ask them whether the business they refer to are the same business that has stashed away over 21 trillion dollars in off shore accounts?  As them if these are the same businesses that have been making record pr...

Capitalism is a Killer

Webster Dictionary defines capitalism as: a way of organizing an economy so that the things that are used to make and transport products (such as land, oil, factories, ships, etc.) are owned by individual people and companies rather than by the government.  Its full definition is: an economic system characterized by private or corporate ownership of capital goods, by investments that are determined by private decision, and by prices, production, and the distribution of goods that are determined mainly by competition in a free market and according to those who live by, swear by and bleed capitalism they would have you to believe that without it, this nation, this world and this economy would fold.  I say that this is not only a lie but an excuse to rape the land and its people of all the God-given resources including and not limited to their life.  What do I mean by this, well consider the following. Under the heading of capitalism, businesses have been allowed to for...

House Speaker John Boehner’s Two Biggest Mistakes

Many are applauding House Speaker John Boehner’s latest tirade where he finally puts the Heritage Action and other groups into the proper prospective but some are saying “too little too late”.  Mr. Boehner could have saved his party and raised the level of play in Washington to a much higher level by doing what he began to do with the “Grand Bargain”.   Had he completed this action, America would have to reconsider its thought of Republican governess and would have a completely different take on them as they have today.   But, alas, Mr. Boehner found himself hamstrung by his two most devastating mistakes far too early after taking control of the gavel.  His two major mistakes were inheriting Eric Cantor and Kevin McCarthy. With Eric Cantor, Mr. Boehner inherited a partner who was immediately embraced by sabotaging of the speaker in order to claim that gavel for himself.  History tells us that as soon as he was named as the number two man, Mr. Ca...

The Journey of a Tea Partier

In the beginning there were the Tea Party and it was good.   It was formed by Americans who felt that Washington was catering too much toward the rich and wealthy like Wall Street instead of focusing on the needs of Main Street.   The purpose was to follow the line of then candidate Barack Obama to keep his feet to the fire on the things that the average American needed.   Only after big money teased us with the open road to get our message to those who needed to hear it, then the bottom began to fall out of this movement.   It morphed into an extreme group concerned with reverting back to the time where the color of a person’s skin was more important than this nation as a whole.   A party were many preached “America First” in the beginning but quickly switched to taking away the legal right of a woman to choice, taking away the legal right to vote, pushing an agenda that does not truly reflect this nation and spewing pure hatred of a president based not ...

Republican’s Shutdown Rally to Kill the Economy Falls Flat

If you have been following any of the news today, regardless of which channel you prefer, you should have no doubt have heard about the proposal House Republicans took to the White House.   While I am ever so weary of these games played by both sides in Washington, only a blind person may not be able to see that the Republican fire spoken so frequently about has gone out and not one ember remain.   Before I tell you how I think it could have been done and all of this unnecessary drama avoided, let me tell you why I think it all went wrong.   The number one reason is this “blind hatred” of Barack Obama.   Republicans allowed themselves to be played like a five dollar fiddle because they were so focused on maintaining an adversarial relationship with this president and his administration.   Proof is all around you if you allow yourself to take a few minutes and look.   Before he was even sworn in, there were forces meeting to insure that anything he...

Aide claims Undisputed Snap Challenge Champion after one week discounting those with nothing else

Now this is quite rich, an aide tried the Snap Challenge and failed but still deems himself the Snap Challenge Champion after one week, why this is so rich is because he discounts all those who have been surviving on Snap for years.   Take a look at the article written by Igor Volsky for Think Progress titled “Aide to Republican Congressman Fails to Live on Food Stamps for a Week” “An aide to Rep. Steve Stockman (R-TX) failed the so-called “SNAP Challenge” last week, just days after accusing Democrats of “intentionally buying overpriced food and shopping at high-priced chains.” The aide, Donny Ferguson, accepted the challenge in response to dozens of Democrats who lived off the program for a week to draw attention to the inadequacy of the average benefit of $4.50 per day. In a press release issued by Stockman’s office, Ferguson initially bragged that he “was able to buy enough food to eat well for a week on just $27.58, almost four dollars less than the $31.50 “SNAP Cha...

Conservatives are getting a bad name through no fault of their own.

There used to be a time when being conservative was a good thing.   It was a time when you never rushed into anything and was quite detailed in your decision making.   You would not seek to waste anything including opportunity but that was before others decided to redefine the term and tag others, especially Republicans, with it.   Here are just a few examples of those labeled conservative and how they are truly not and giving those of us who are a very bad name.   Take for example this story titled “ Federal Appeals Court Judge Said Blacks, Hispanics ‘Predisposed to Crime,’ Lawsuit Alleges ” by Nicole Flatow.   It is written “Chief Judge Edith Jones, a federal judge who, until recently, led what are arguably the nation’s most conservative federal appeals court said blacks and Hispanics are more prone to commit crimes, according to a lawsuit filed this week. Although the remarks by U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit Judge Edith Jones were not rec...

When did the Political Life of a Politician Trump the Real Life of Gun Violence Victims?

When asked the only answer that you will probably hear from politicians who will not even vote for sensible gun legislation is that it is “political suicide”.  So one can assume that the hundreds of people losing their lives to guns are not as important to politicians.  At what point did it become acceptable to do less for this nation as a whole and more for those who buy your soul.  The Bible tells us that a rich man has about as much chance getting into heaven as a camel has passing through the eye of a needle yet no one cares.  We all sit around on our backsides and allow politicians to follow the will of the rich instead of following the will of the people.  This anomaly is not only in the gun control debate, it is also prevalent in the immigration debate, war debate and every other political and judicial decision being made in this country and we call ourselves students of the Bible? I wonder, if these same people who pay homage to the d...

The Reason for my Media and Public Outrage

For quite some time now, I have been railing against the ignorance shown when we do not consider the entire story but only select that portions which best suit our purpose.   This selective choosing does not prove our point because after, as Paul Harvey used to say, the whole story is revealed, any point we think was made is completely washed away as well as our credibility and reputation.   It’s the same thing when you hear people quoting back to you Bible verses.   The ones or part of them are used to try and prove their point, it is later shown that this was not the entirety of the passage and had they read further, perhaps they would have gotten a different interpretation.   When this is done, whoever is using that passage is now guilty of attempting to mislead their audience and lie on God.   Lying on God is not a mark of a good Christian, in my opinion.   It’s a good indication that they person from whom this lie comes are doing Satan’s work and n...

The Real Truth about the Reagan, Bush and Obama Elections

Many Republicans are always talking about Ronald Regan but what seems to be lost on many who are supposed to do this politic thing for a reason is Republicans did not elect Reagan.   What you say?   How dumb must I be to say something like that?   Of course Republicans elected Reagan.   Consider the evidence. Check the numbers, when Democrats and Independents decide to really get involved in an election, the numbers are nowhere near to being close in regards to the number of Republicans voters as opposed to the number of Democratic voters.   More people lean toward Democrat or Independent thinking than the Republican way.   The Republican Party is not shrinking, its people are maintaining their party affiliations but voting the other way because right now the embarrassment is too great to brag about. Therefore I surmise the following; Ronald Reagan won because many Democrats and Independents stayed home or voted for him because there were not real...

Congress Declarations of War

There used to be a feeling in America, that a few groups would never have to fear having their earned benefits threatened.   These groups included but were not limited to veterans, the poor and women.   History now shows that this is no longer the case. You would have had to be blind, deaf or dead not to hear the rhetoric about congress’s assault on women.   The small government people pushing legislation which may not put government in your business but does place government in your bedroom, home and now in a woman’s womb.   You see congress, not only federal but state as well, voting to allow males to decide what kind of health care women should be allowed to get while hoping no one notices how quickly and smoothly they passed Viagra coverage for themselves.   How some religious communities are all up in arms over contraception but completely quite about the choices men are free to make about preventing unwanted pregnancies, not to mention the avalanche...

Open Letter to John Boehner

For those who say that individuals making minimum wage is unskilled and have no experience in a workforce peep this; as a mother I am a chemist because I have to mix my babies bottles, so tell me again how inexperienced I am. As a parent, I have to fix booboos which makes me a part of the medical field. So tell me again how inexperienced I am.   School days I spend most of my mornings getting the kids up and ready and out the door, that would make me a drill sergeant, so tell me again how inexperienced I am. In the evenings I have to make sense of a chaotic world and have to explain it to a four, five or six year old, that experience would make me an educator, so tell me again how inexperienced I am. During the day, I have to coordinate and prepare nutritious meals; that experience makes me a chef, short order cook, or dietician so tell me again how inexperienced I am. During the month, I have to pay bills, balance a checkbook, keep track of finances and make money stretch, tha...
