John Boehner Smarter than the Average Tea Partier
For quite some time I have been ranting and raving
about when the Republican Party will finally say enough is enough and step up
to stop those who see this party as an avenue to world domination. That day seems to have come upon us.
When John Boehner first made an announcement that
his caucus were no longer listening to those who wish to steer them wrong, many
swore that this was the end of the road for him and they may be right but let
it be known it appears that John Boehner has decided that he will go out with a
bang instead of a whimper. Career
politicians on both sides of the aisle have decided to retire and get out of
the rat race which has become Washington but none have begun to switch parties
like many leaving the Republican Party.
They join to make a difference and instead have been led to the edge of
a cliff and asked to jump. Hearing John
Boehner defy the silent minority may have been that spark that they needed to
say no more.
Stories begin to explode about Mr. Boehner wanting
to accomplish big things so that his party will have something positive to run
on instead of the same old thing. He
wants to have a hand in immigration, increasing the minimum wage, creating jobs
and so much more. He wants to make sure
that when they read of his time as Speaker of the House of Representatives, he
leaves behind something he can be proud of. This idea and desire may have also
spread to Mitch McConnell and his crew because they are looking at doing some
of the same things. Finally, politicians
may just become a part of the nation’s solutions instead of the nation’s
problems.
Consider a quiet alliance between John Boehner,
Mitch McConnell, Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi.
Let’s say that they are quietly meeting together to move this country
forward and getting things done so that both parties can claim victory. Democrats speak about discharge petitions for
immigration and discharge petitions for raising the minimum wage, what if both
parties have come to realize that the needs of the many really does far outweigh
the needs of the few? Could compromise
be making a well needed comeback or is this another fake?
Personally I think it is real and those voted into
office to make compromises and make life better for the majority is beginning
to gather their steam and find their backbone.
I believe that no longer will Republican argue with Democrat because of
being in a different party but argue for what they believe is best for the
nation as a whole. They will argue and
go back and forth but in the end and before completely unraveling, they will
come to an understanding so that uncertainty does not reign supreme. Finally America may be able to vote for a
person not because of the party that they belong to but because they really
think that this individual will do a better job and if that individual does not
fulfill their promises, remove them and replace them with someone who will. The public will reclaim their power and the
rich will find their limitations.
