Reading good news these days, seems so very few and far between but every once in a while you hear about a story that does more pulling on your heart strings than most and makes you wish to share this saga of good will.  This is the feeling behind the article titled “ Target Employee's Act of Kindness Has Shoppers Everywhere Singing His Praises ” posted by Inside Edition on Monday January 18, 2016.  The only thing that made me shake my head was the words used by the manager of this particular Target Store in describing he may not have ever really known. Stumbled upon this article titled “ Boy, 8, faces murder charge in beating death of Alabama toddler as child's mother partied at nightclub: authorities ” written by Nicole Hensley for the New York Daily News and was mystified to find that more than just the mother of the victim and the 8 year old boy was charged.  Would have thought that the mother of the 8 year old would also be charged with nothing less than neglect and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. The article reports; Katerra Lewis, 26, has been charged with manslaughter in the death of her young daughter. The girl’s mother, Katerra Lewis, left Kelci Devine Lewis alone with five children overnight as she partied with a friend at a night club on Oct. 11. The 26-year-old found her only child unresponsive at a Birmingham home the following morning. Media assumed that by labeling their story “Soldier kills 14-year-old girlfriend’s mother after she tried to break them up in Pennsylvania” that this would draw more page views instead of calling it what it really is.  The story should have been simply evil man kills his underage girlfriend’s mother and buries her with the girlfriend’s help because evil can take any form and in this case it took the form of a U.S. soldier. The article was written by Rachelle Blinder for the New York Daily News and it reports “a 20-year-old soldier is charged with murdering the mother of his 14-year-old girlfriend and burying her in southeast Pennsylvania with the girl's help after the mom tried to put a stop to the illicit relationship, authorities said.  Caleb Barnes allegedly stabbed Cheryl Silvonek, 54, in her car in front of her Upper Macungie house after an argument early Sunday, according to the Allentown Morning Call.  Once Silvonek was dead, Barnes and the girl reportedly hop...

You could always find mother sitting on his screened in front porch in the 700 block of Ashland Avenue.  He seemed to always be standing guard over his two story partially brick framed house where so many have walked through his doors and emerged a completely different person than when they went in.  Mother was a person who took in those that others had given up on or tossed away.  The forgotten ones and those left to fend for themselves after all of the social-experiments had failed.  That house had a reputation of finding that ingot of good in a person and turning it into a gold mine of talent and righteousness. In any investigation, those who are in the know should realize that a tragic trend is beginning to emerge.  Investigators are imitating television when it comes to discovering the truth about crimes being committed.  Often television shows depict the star of that show figuring out what happened by number of means and script writers are getting more and more loose with how things really should be by making the scene more about the person than the crime.  Investigations are never about the person; it should always and forever be about the crime.  If there is no crime committed then there is no damage but if there is any possible chance of misconduct then it needs to be cautiously examined. When I read this article, I could help but think that there were much more to this than reported.   It appeared to me that this mother may have a janitor in her daily life but left this world as a hero.   The article was from the CNN Wire Staff titled Body of missing Ohio mother found in septic system.   In it is is reported that “t he mother-in-law of a 25-year-old woman found dead in a septic system provided investigators with details where the corpse was located, police said Wednesday.   The mother-in-law, Sandra Inman, along with the woman's estranged husband, William Inman Jr., and the woman's father-in-law, William Inman Sr., were arrested and face kidnapping charges.” My first thought was what could be the reason her estranged husband family would be involved in this incident but when I read that “the mother of three was working as part of a cleaning crew at a local bank on March 22, police said” I then began to wonder if his family had gotten together and tr...
