Hey Black Folks, You’re being Outsmarted Again

In the wake of the televised murder of George Floyd, Black American began to think that this was their chance to make drastic and demanding and permanent change to what we had been existent under for over 350 years. It was something that not only could you feel but in some instances you could actually touch it. That was before white folks did what they always do when black folks began to believe that they are now in control. Here is how it happens. Black folks allow the wrong people to advance to the front of a fight and squander their opportunity by choosing the lowest hanging fruits. I mean these new black leaders will be offered money, power, prestige and a change of personal status which is what the puppet masters know will make them quickly forget what they rose up to proclaim. You see black folks are taking down confederate statues, removing the confederate flags and getting Corporate America to say Black Lives Matter. Not saying that these things are not imp...

Catholic Healthcare Lawsuit is a Farce

Yes, that’s right I said it and I will say it again.   I say it because it burns me up to think that an organization so revered and copied as the ultimate organization to provide unequivocal service to the poor and needy in any community from food banks to financial services and not to mentioned spiritual guidance would allow their name to be buried in nothing that has anything to do with their primary and initial purpose for existing.   Do not be fooled, it has nothing to do with religious freedom and everything to do with religion in politics.   It has taken the last great institution and turned it from the goodness spoke of in the Bible to a business. When you hear freedom of religion, think about the purpose of that right granted in the US Constitution.   It is the freedom to worship as you see fit.   That means an individual can choose to take on the label of Catholic, Protestant, Baptist and yes even Atheist if they wish.   It means that no gover...

NAACP makes an historic step toward Civil Rights for all

For many African-Americans there is a quiet celebration going on because of the historic step the oldest and most respected group took yesterday.   The Associated Press reports in their article titled NAACP backs same-sex marriage as civil right that “the NAACP passed a resolution Saturday endorsing same-sex marriage as a civil right and opposing any efforts "to codify discrimination or hatred into the law." “The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People's board voted at a leadership retreat in Miami to back a resolution supporting marriage equality, calling the position consistent with the equal protection provision of the U.S. Constitution.   "The mission of the NAACP has always been to ensure political, social and economic equality of all people," Board Chairwoman Roslyn M. Brock said in a statement. "We have and will oppose efforts to codify discrimination into law."   "Civil marriage is a civil right and a matter of civi...

Kucinich’s Crusade

The Eli Rosenberg’s article for the National Journal titled Dennis Kucinich, Being Consistent, Sides with Tea Party on Libya could not have been more clear while being a tad confusing.   His description of an “e ccentric Congressman Dennis Kucinich” reporting that “Kucinich went one step further, claiming,   Talking Points Memo   reports, that Obama's decision "would appear on its face to be an impeachable offense" because the president failed to secure congressional authorization.”   Rosenberg further reported on information reported to Dave Weigel from Republican Representative Justin Amash saying "When there is no imminent threat to our country, he cannot launch strikes without authorization from the American people, through our elected Representatives in Congress."     Tea Party figure Senator Rand Paul is quoted as saying "We’re involved in two wars right now, and I don’t think we really need to be involved in a third war." Mr. Rosenberg also ask...

Elections really do have Consequences

During the midterm when so many progressive groups were piling on DINOs (Democrats in Name Only), they were also giving many democratic voters an excuse to stay home.   It should be abundantly clear now that the advice was flawed.   Staying home allowed the House of Representatives to be taken over by the Republicans and it gave State Legislatures a new look as well as ushered in a new crop of Governors with them.     This is the result of sitting home while your country cries out for involvement and a new direction. The House of Representatives promised to focus on jobs but so far all we have heard is an all out assault on women rights.   Not one job has been created and so far the message is focused on cutting more jobs and putting many more out of work.   There were opportunities to create jobs with this new vision of high speed rail but many Governors are saying no to that as well.   Talking bout budget shortfalls, would not creating the environme...

Why the Tea Party will always remain a minority party

In the beginning the voice of the Tea Party spoke for many of us who were feeling disenfranchised and ignored.   It rang the bell for so many to finally get up off the sideline and into the game.   It was a true grassroots organization and many flocked to join but it eventually began to splinter into other groups that soon spelled the downfall of a once great organization.   The splinter groups began to see this as an opportunity to make big profits instead of making big changes.   They saw this as a way to impress and impose than an avenue to a more perfect nation.   They saw it as a way to advance their agenda instead of an agenda for this country as a whole and because of that many who finally realize just what they may be wishing to do no longer fit what they had thought was the original purpose. Listening to Ms. Amy Kremer, Chairman of the Tea Party Express this morning on C-Span made me realize this more than ever before.   She spoke about the origin...
