Racist email could be indirectly tied to the recent Trump birther’s rants

Lawrence O’Donnell from the Last Word on MSNBC was speaking about the damage that Donald Trump could be causing with his newly regurgitated spin on President Obama’s birth certificate or lack there of.   I had not given it much thought until I came across this article written by Gillian Flaccus of the Associated Press titled Head of OC GOP says email sender should resign and learned that “ Marilyn Davenport spoke publicly for the first time Wednesday and said she considered the email depicting Obama as a chimpanzee political satire — not racism.   The email depicts Obama's face superimposed over the baby chimp's and the text under the image reads, "Now you know why — No birth certificate!" The article further reported that “Davenport, who is serving her fourth two-year term, acknowledged that she didn't send the email to some friends because she felt they would be offended. She added, however, that she only saw the image as political satire about "all that...

Obama’s job czar should be fired for lack of confidence

Contrary to those who see this title as assume that I am in the same league of all Obama-bashers, you could not be farter from the truth.   The truth is I love me some Obama and would defend him in any circumstance except for those decisions that I disagree with.   I disagree with his choice to lead his council on jobs mainly because I think that the CEO of GE is a flawed leader.   Flawed because his company is reported to have made billions but did not pay their fair share in taxes to help this economy.   Flawed because according to Zachary Roth ’s article for Yahoo News titled   With jobs czar under fire, new data confirm offshoring trend “t hree months later, after appointing him   and despite some   positive signs , employment rates have barely budged, Americans are   more pessimistic   about the economy than they've been in a while--and Immelt is under fire amid news that GE reportedly paid no taxes this year.   The Wall Street Jo...

Citizenship option in basic training tells recruits that if you wish to die for us you should be one of us

According to the article written by Susanne M. Schafer of the Associated Press titled Army, Navy add citizenship option to boot camp “ Now the Army and Navy, in need of specialists and language skills in wartime, are speeding things up by allowing recruits to wrap up the process while they're still in basic training by allowing federal immigration officers access to the recruits.”   I think is a great thing and a long time in coming.   What I love best about this decision is that “military officials say it's a well-deserved break for volunteers who otherwise would have to slog through the bureaucratic ordeal during deployments around the world, often far from U.S. embassies and the military route is not a short-cut for foreigners abroad to get into the U.S. Only legal immigrants can apply, officials stress, and they must complete five years of honorable service or chance having their citizenship revoked.” If they can be brought into the service of this country and are willin...

Texas Governor preaches succession while asking for federal assistance for wildfires

You have got to consider it kinda strange that a governor preaching succession since the election of our current president would now seek the help of the entity that he said Texas hated more than anything else.   Could these wildfires be a sign to those of Texas to return to the age of inclusion? According to Sarah Wheaton , New York Times,   Texas Wildfires Rage on With No End in Sight “ Firefighters in Texas on Tuesday continued to battle raging wildfires that were consuming more than a million acres and showing few signs of abating.   “The bull’s-eye is on West Texas and the Panhandle,” said April Saginor, a spokeswoman for the Texas Forest Service, referring to the area where conditions were considered “critical to extremely critical” — as they had been for days.   On Monday, firefighters responded to 10 new fires, in addition to battling 20 existing uncontained blazes — “actually kind of a light day,” Ms. Saginor said.   Texas’ worst drought in nearly hal...

Texas TV reporter learns that Obama punches back

If you only listen to reasonable people like Holly Bailey who wrote the article titled   President Obama gets snippy with a Texas TV reporter and Brad Watson, the TV reporter who is the subject of this article, you would think that Obama was caught on camera acting like a little child because he got “snippy” with Watson and seeking “more favorable” coverage has “backfired”.   Watson took on a Bill O’Rielly persona when he asked the president "Why do you think you're so unpopular in Texas?” remnant of Bill O’Rielly asking the president about people who hate him.   Appearing to look like Bill O’Rielly became even clearer when “Watson pressed Obama on NASA's decision not to locate one of the retiring Space Shuttle fleet in the state after Watson suggesting the Obama administration had sent the orbiters to states pivotal to his re-election. This insistence stayed even after President Obama insisted that "the White House has nothing to do with it."    Watson was lo...

Proof that Rosie O’Donnell was right about Donald Trump being a hypocrite

When Mark Dagostino and Brian Orloff covered the spat between Rosie O’Donnell and Donald Trump for People Magazine titled Rosie Slams Trump, the Donald Fires Back .   I do not think that they would have ever expected for the words captured in this story to be the proof that she was right about him.   So many quickly dismissed Rosie and some even pushed to see her fired.   The defenders of Donald Trump were proud to stand with him and had a lot to say about Ms. O’Donnell being so off base to attack such a decent man.   We do not know if he is financially bankrupt, we do not know if he is a joke but we have proof that he is a hypocrite. The article reports that “ Rosie O'Donnell had some fiery words for Donald Trump on  The View  Wednesday morning, calling him a "snake-oil salesman" following  his announcement  that he would not fire troubled Miss USA Tara Conner.     After hearing about her comments, Trump fired back to PEOPLE, calling ...

McDonald’s 50,000 worker hiring spree will do more for market share than image

The announcement of hiring over 50,000 workers today as provided McDonald’s with news coverage and much hype these few days but what is spoken about is more about image and hat this will do for the unemployment rate.   That’s not the big story because the big story is more about market share. We all know that McDonald’s is the most popular fast food chain in the world to many it is for good reason.   Lately fast food has come under some heat for the kinds of meals that they offer and each time they would adjust but this move is so much more than that.   Annalyn Censky of CNN Money reports in her article titled McDonald's hiring 50,000 workers today that “t he new openings are available across 14,000 restaurants and include crew and management positions, part-time and full-time jobs. The average starting wage is $8 an hour, a McDonald's ( MCD , Fortune 500 ) spokeswoman said.”   This announcement alone would improve any companies’ image but let’s look into the marke...
