Learned something last night speaking to the wife that I did not know and thinking that I may not be the only male who didn’t know this, I wanted to share with you what I learned.  Now it goes without saying that men and women are as different in many things as night and day but what makes this wonderful in a way is that we can now learn so much from each other providing we have the spine and backbone to open ourselves us to listening and hearing what they have to say. Our conversation centered around why men and women have a very hard times communicating sometimes and the more we dived into that discussion the more agitated and frustrated I was getting because I just couldn’t seem to make my wife understand that we are equipped with a meter that monitors our manhood and when that monitor is tripped, very little if anything ever gets past that point.  She was trying to get me to understand that women have this unquenchable desire to make sure that the person with whom the...

Not much is known about how dispatchers are trained to handle 911 calls but one thing is perfectly clear.  If this article is an example of how some handles those calls a complete re-vamp of the manual is sorely needed.  There have been several articles about this type of dispensing of calls but this one may just be the straw that broke the camel’s back. The article is written by Russell Contereras and Terry Tang for the Associated Press titled “Panicked 911 caller: Dispatcher had no reason to hang up” and it reports that “a 911 caller said Wednesday she was panicked about a friend being shot but stayed as calm as possible before a New Mexico dispatcher told her to "deal with it yourself" and hung up as she sought aid.  Seventeen-year-old Esperanza Quintero told The Associated Press that she wished dispatcher Matthew Sanchez had done more to help after her friend Jaydon Chavez-Silver was shot in June while watching friends play cards inside a home. Talk to anyone who loves politics and you will hear them describe themselves as a Republican, Democrat or Independent.  Once that distinction is made, you will typically know which way your conversation is going to go.  You know that no matter which party affiliation that the subject of your talk is about, nothing they have done will ever be seen as good because in order to maintain honest affiliation you must defend your party above all else.  Because of this we are required not to think for ourselves but follow the lead of those who are supposed to know more and better.  We are not required to hold them accountable for any misdeeds because we are first and foremost party first, country last.  That being the case, to whom are we beholding to then, certainly not ourselves because our decisions are being made by group than by individual.  It’s time for a change. The media is all ablaze by the recent comments of Former Arkansas Gov. I have struggled to try and understand this elusive and temperamental word called “racism” for quite some time and just when I thought I had a handle on it, something else would happen to destroy just about every point I used to connect with that understanding.  Every point except one which is why I strongly believe now that racism is not a condition, disease, result or reasoning.  I now believe that racism is an excuse, convenient for some while inconvenient for others, but an excuse none the less.  An excuse to dismiss or define actions or non-actions of others so that the person doing the defining can wrap their minds around the conversation and move on to yet another subject, issue or matter.  I finally reached this conclusion from the below mentioned article just discovered. We all must recall Henry Ford’s idea about making automobiles.  It centered around making them affordable for the masses and making them able to withstand the test of time.  Henry Ford was more concerned about the quality of a Ford than the number of Fords on the road.  He also believed that looking out for the workers who were the primary reason his vehicles were quality was also the true mark of success.  Today Ford Motor Company is still one of the top three automotive manufactures but today’s Ford is nothing close to keeping the vision of Henry Ford. According to an article written by Ben Dimiero for Media Matters titled “ NY Times Issues Second Major Correction To Botched Report On Clinton's Emails” it is reported that “ this morning, the New York Times issued a second substantial correction to its anonymously-sourced report that originally hyped a potential Department of Justice investigation into former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's use of personal email. According to an article titled “ Illinois Politicians to receive pay raises despite Rauner Efforts ” as reported “ failing to pass a balanced budget is of little consequence to the state’s political class. I was strolling through Facebook when I came upon this post and it started me to thinking that maybe the reason so many of us are lost as Christians is because of what I took from this very post and so many others like them.  We may be a little confused and since very few so-called experts even take the time to address this subject, we stay ignorant and as long as that is the case we become easy targets for evil and its minions.  Time to turn the tables. I used to think that we are the sum total of our experiences and our reactions to them but I am beginning to see that we are simply the sum total of our reactions.  I think this now because the same experience can happen to millions of people and none of them turn out to be exactly alike even if many of their reaction were the same.  Each of us take away from any experience what we choose to learn from that encounter and because only that single solitary individual can choose what lesson that they wish to heed, they are in complete and total control. Car accidents happen each and every day and those involved come away from it with a change in their prospective, way of life or perception of what is important.  Many may repeat the same saying about importance but that does not by no stretch of the imagination make that the number one lesson learned.  Some will never drive again, some seek comfort in a bottle or drugs, while others get right back upon that horse....

When it comes to the old saying that there is “more than one way to skin a cat”, it may be truer than we think.  Let us examine why this could be so and while we accomplish this finally understand why the differences between right and wrong has changed so much and so quickly. In this world of billions of people there are those who claim that there is only one right way to do anything but if we patiently take a look at history, we may be surprised to learn that there has always been and will always be another right way.  It may be as simple as what is right for one may not be right for another so does that mean that the one who accomplished their goals using the method was wrong because that same avenue did not open up for you or could it be as simple as the avenue they attempted was set for them and only them while you must now use a little bit of what they did, add in something a little different for yourself in order to discover what will work for you?  If this is...

An article titled “ Marine Commander’s Firing Stirs Debate on Integration of Women in Corps ” written by Dave Philipps for the New York Times was emailed to me for my thoughts on the subject.  After reading it, I gained more than just a thought, I gained a prospective. The article reported that “ when Lt. Col. Kate Germano took command of the Marine Corps’ all-women boot camp, the failure rate of female recruits at the rifle range was about three times higher than that of their male counterparts, and she said there was no plan to try to improve it. “The thinking was girls can’t shoot, so why bother,” she said in an interview.  So she worked with trainers to give women better skills instruction, and soon passing rates soared, according to Marine Corps records. This may not be what you true patriots wish to hear but it does not mean someone does not need to bring it to your attention.  We see those who so support the flying of the Confederate Flag crying real tears about what they think is an ending to their heritage.  It is not but some would want nothing more than for those who truly believe in that banner to fall for this ploy and be willing to pick up arms and die again for its colors.  Too bad, things that really end only end in our hearts.  If you are truly a lover of the Confederate Flag then you should know that no matter where it flies, on Capitol Grounds, in a museum, in your front yard or attached to your vehicle, the love for that glorious banner will only die if you strike its true meaning from your heart otherwise, it shall live on as long as there are those willing to see it live forever. Is it just me or have we now heard the truth about these best sellers lists and how those who get on them may not doing so in the true spirit of sales?  For as long as I can remember, writers have worked very hard to get their works included not only on the New York Times Best Sellers List but the Los Angeles Times and others as well.  Many will find inventive ways to market their books and some will only consider writing a book with their intended audience in mind but nothing makes all this seem less worthy than what is found in this article written by John Prager titled “ NY Times Throws Ted Cruz Off Bestseller List For Cheating, Conservatives Go Insane ”. There is often no more clearer of an example of good intentions turning out to be worse than intended or expected than this article.  The sad part is the true result will probably never be felt by those who made the decision nor seemed to be accounted for by those who did.
