The Assumption of Additional Pain and Suffering-A Theoretical Thought
We
have been taught for many years that hell is “a place of evil and suffering where
the wicked are punished after death” but what if that was only partially true. What if the real hell was here on earth and
all of the planets and the wicked are those of us who chooses not to follow the
path of Jesus at every junction of our earthly lives when we must make a choice
between doing what is right and doing what is wrong. When we choose to do what we believe is right
in the eyes of God we live believing in Jesus but when we choose to do what is
wrong we become the wicked.
Wouldn’t
it make sense since so much pain and suffering is endured here on earth and as
soon as we make the decision to do what is wrong we are immediately consumed by
the fires of hatred, anger, hypocrisy, jealousy, greed, regret and so many
other sins. Let’s take for example, the taking of another human life. The mind has always had a problem with
reconciling unnatural acts and there is none greater than the taking of another
human life. The mind searches for
justification for this act and when one cannot be found, it walls off this act
and slowly feeds it to the sub-conscientious in bits and pieces until the body
can handle what has just happened. This
may explain why the recent revelation of the Navy Seals increased drug use or
the life of those who commit murder will never be the same. Somewhere, I believe that it adds to the pain
and suffering you were already headed for by an addition of the pain and
suffering of those whose life you’ve taken were destined for. In other words, when you take a human life,
you now take on all the pain and suffering that was in store for them.
So
what would be the punishment for this? I
believe that it is a constant return to this hell maybe not on earth but
another planet and maybe not in the form of a human but an animal or other until
at such time we seek God’s forgiveness for the sins of our past earthly lives
and are forgiven. I believe that for a
few minutes between leaving this world in our earthly form and awaiting our
return to this hell-hole, we will experience a little of what it would feel
like to live forever in the body God has designed for each of us
individually. 2nd Corinthians
Chapter 5 is reported to read “For we know that when this earthly tent we live
in is taken down (that is, when we die and leave this earthly body), we will
have a house in heaven, an eternal body made for us by God himself and not by
human hands”. There we will finally get a taste of the promise of ever-lasting
life but lose it due to our actions while surviving in this earthly hell.
What
is it that we must do to insure when we leave this world in the earthly form
that we continue to live this eternal life promise in the body designed
especially for us by God? John Chapter 11
verses 25-26 are reported to read “Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection
and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and
whoever lives by believing in me will never die”. So each and every time we
come upon a choice, we truly need to study on that choice and make sure that
when the decision is made, it is made with the confidence that the action you
are about to take is believed to be right in the eyes of God because making any
other choice may have just confined you to a repeat of all this pain and
suffering you have endured so far with a possibility of an assumption of
addition pain and suffering.
