The Nuclear Deal with Iran exposes Benghazi Lie
News was made on two fronts in the House of
Representative’s Committee looking into the nuclear deal with Iran but has gone
unreported by seemingly every cable news and local news station on the
air. One has to wonder how such
experienced and talented journalist could miss both sets of news made on that
Tuesday by John Kerry but maybe this truly is more about viewership and ratings
than anything else. We all know that sex
sells which is why movies and commercials are full of sexually implicit things,
now we know that controversy gains viewers because instead of these stories
being top news, they were pushed back for what?
Well if this is true then let me be one of the first
to clue this nation in but before I do let me also make one other thing
extremely clear. Nothing anyone says
about this president and his administration is going to change the minds of
those who truly despise him so this is not my reason for passing on what I
learned on C-Span. The purpose is to clear
up the often misunderstanding that occurs when journalist chases ratings
instead of facts.
The Myth of Benghazi has often been portrayed as the
lack of accountability by this administration and the lack of punishment handed
out to those whose failure contributed greatly to the loss of our Ambassador
and other brave Americans. Certain
Republicans and so-called news agencies have been allowed to run free with this
and often never challenged. That all
changed with the testimony of Secretary of State John Kerry on that
Tuesday. Before his time was up and
leaving that chamber Mr. Kerry said something that made my hair stands up on
edge. He told anyone who was willing to
listen and learn that two careers ended over that Benghazi mess as well as two
other careers were seriously delayed. In
other words, two people were fired over Benghazi and two others were demoted or
reduced in rank, statue and influence over the fatal mistakes made. This information alone should have been
enough to make anyone’s top story list but then it was not sensational enough
probably. Also among the Breaking News
of accountability for Benghazi was another morsel of news that has gone
unreported.
Secretary Kerry also corrected the tall tale about
the Obama’s Administration’s not taking the security of Israel as serious as
they should. In his remarks to that
particular individual, Secretary Kerry informed again all who would listen that
not only was that a bold-faced lie but this president, speaking of Barack
Obama, has done more to make sure Israel is safer than any other president in
history. What makes this breaking news
is that it is just another accomplishment that does not receive as much
coverage as say did the ACA website.
Many speak of the legacy of this president and I
know that he will measure among the greats but not now and not with the undying
desire for ratings. He will only be
viewed as an accomplished leader by those who come after us because then and
only then he will be viewed far less as the first African-American President
and more as a President.
