Classic Example of how your Decisions can have an effect on others

Many people believe that the choices they make only affect them and as long as they do, then all that they need to consider is how it will.  They are so wrong and this article written by Jason Devaney for Newsmax titled “McAllister 'Wrecked' Life of Man Whose Wife he Kissed” is all the proof you need.

Interviewed by CNN the husband of the woman kissed on video by McAllister said "I'm just freaking devastated by the whole deal, man," Heath Peacock said during an interview with CNN. "I loved my wife so much. I cannot believe this. I cannot freaking believe it. I feel like I’m going to wake up here in a minute and this is all going to be a bad nightmare." "He has wrecked my life," the 34-year-old Peacock told CNN. "We’re headed for divorce. It was just a kiss, that was all it was, but it embarrassed me and my family”.  "This guy has turned my life upside down."

Evidence suggests that this attraction was not a spur of the moment thing and may have been cooking for some time.  McAllister and Ms. Peacock may have had this kettle boiling for years based strictly on something else written in the article that many may not pay any attention to.  The article said that “McAllister previously worked with Heath Peacock for 16 years at Mustang Engineering, according to the Citizen” which means they may have been close in the past if not simply just eyeing each other.

Those decisions to engage in this action was ultimately a choice that both of them made and each should be held responsible for that choice but what about those others who now must face a devastating event not of their choosing.  I’m speaking of the innocent victims to the choices made by McAllister and Ms. Peacock.
People like McAllister’s wife and children who must now endure the embarrassment and shame he has dumped on them as they face family and peers.  Mr. Peacock and his son, who also must face the same trail of tears as they go about their day to day activities.  Willie Robertson, the Duck Dynasty Star, who put his reputation and name on the line when he stood with him.  The millions of viewers of Duck Dynasty who love the show but now will see Willie and ultimately all the others in a completely different light now because he did stand with him but more importantly the voters who showed faith and trust in McAllister by voting him into office.  They want to trust and they took a chance maybe because he ran on this phantom “Christian Values” platform but more because people just want to believe in people.

All these people and so many more have been effected by the choices that McAllister and Ms. Peacock made and whether they stand up and take full responsibility for the damage that their decision has caused here or not, they shall reap the rewards of their choices eventually.  This should be all the proof you need that your decisions effect more than just you so if you intend on making decision that will do no harm or as less harm as possible, think long and hard before you make it.  Take a few minutes to think back now how decision you have made in the past may have affected others and if you discover that they may have, I ask you to do the right thing.  Ask them for forgiveness and mean it.  Just my opinion, I could be wrong and if so, MEA CULPA.
