Why Complete Republican Rule frightens me
It should go without saying that no party or person has
all of the answers and in order for anyone to grow and mature as a person, the
first thing we must do is be willing to admit when we are wrong and modify our
stances to reflect our education on that subject.
What frightens me most about the New Republican Party is
that none of them seem to ever wish to admit that they are wrong. Many those honestly looking at the entire
situation is being chased out of the party and those who are never wrong are
taking over. I witnessed this fact last
night as I attempted to hear the other side of the Obama Bashing Debate by
tuning in to Sean Hannity’s Show on Fox last night. His guests were Liz Cheney and Lanny
Davis. The topic was exposing the Real
Obama. It was evident how this conversation
would go with the first question by Hannity to Cheney and the amount of time he
gave her to speak her mind without interruption. This was not the same respect he showed Lanny
Davis who were actually agreeing with them.
Lanny brought up a few points to show that both parties were guilty of
the same offenses that was attributed to Obama but was quickly shouted down or
dismissed by Hannity.
Just a few minutes ago, on the Thomas Roberts Show on
MSNBC, Joe Watkins, A Republican and an aide to George W. Bush was asked what
steps the Republicans need to do the close the ever widening gender gap with
women. He mentioned that they had to
explain to women how President Obama’s policies are hurting women and
children. What was not asked of Mr.
Watkins was how can they do that when these same Republicans support the Paul
Ryan’s budget which could gut many programs specifically aimed at women and
children? I did not hear anything from
Mr. Watkins about admitting a misstep when pushing these bills but I did hear
him say that the Republicans do have some work that needs to be done. I applaud him for that.
It may be that many who seem to despise this President
may do so because of the unemployment numbers being so high in the
African-American community. Maybe this
is what they mean when they say “get a job”.
Maybe they see these numbers as people too lazy to work which explains
the high number. Just a thought I could
be wrong but looking at what has happened to the State of Michigan with the
Republicans being in total charge and the new laws they have passed. The emergency manager law that has taken over
many predominately African-American citizenries does give one pause. Especially when we have just learned that
they possibly did all of this illegally. This was not what I and others like me fought
for and was willing to die for.
Frank Taaffe is a racist. He has been convicted of battery on a woman. He like his butt buddy Zimmerman is a vigilante that has hatred towards black people.
