Baltimore Fox Affiliate Caught Attempting to Incite Violence

So much has been made about those players on Wall Street and how they should be held accountable for wrecking the economy and I stand with that.  There has been as much about cops committing murder and being given a free pass now should find themselves in court and I stand with that.  Few are talking about the coward who executed two New York Police Officers and how that is a result of the protests, considering their point I can understand it but what if their point was made by something that happened in this story.  It is a story about a particular news media that not only does not report in a professional manner but manipulate things to suit their fancy.

The article is called “Protester Confronts Fox Station That Deceptively Edited 'Kill A Cop' Chant” by Brendan James and in it he reports that “A Baltimore Fox affiliate apologized Monday night for a report it ran over the weekend that deceptively edited protesters to look like they were chanting "kill a cop."  Gawker originally caught WBFF chopping up footage of a protest chant to sound like incitement to murder police on Monday.  The chant went "we won't stop, we can't stop, 'til killer cops, are in cell blocks," according to C-SPAN footage.  But WBFF cut the audio short and told viewers that the words were in fact "we won't stop, we can't stop, so kill a cop."  The station apologized both on its Facebook page and in an interview with one of the protesters leading the chant, Tawanda Jones.  "Although last night’s report reflected an honest misunderstanding of what the protesters were saying, we apologize for the error," the post read”.

An honest misunderstanding of what the protesters were saying is not a remedy for now placing another life in jeopardy and telling those like the idiot in New York that they are justified taking the law into their own hands because if you wish to find the bottom line, that is what this is all about.  Those cops shooting and killing unarmed citizens had a choice and in the end they choose to act like judge, jury and executioner.  Now because the judicial system is supposed to mete out justice equally whether you are a politician, cop or citizen, people rely on it to do just that but when the judicial system wishes to turn a blind eye and create excuses instead of solutions, people have the right to get upset.  The affiliate acted in a very unprofessional manner and because it did not verify before they reported as guilty of more than just mere misconduct.  The result of something like this is best explained by the injured party herself.

"At the end of the day, people's lives are on the line," she said. "Now, even though we're doing this, I still don't feel safe because I still feel like the message is out there."  "What if a crazed-out cop or a crazed-out supporter thinks I'm trying to get cops killed?" she later said, wiping tears from her face”.  What if, think two innocent New York Police Officers sitting in their vehicle and in a blink of an eye leaving behind wives, children, family and a host of loved ones.  The shooter was reported to say that he was compelled to commit this crime on behalf of those unarmed citizens.  Was he told to do this by a protester, by the unaccountable actions of bad cops, by friends or family and now we must ask, was he told to do this by media.
