Could Other Prison Officials be linked to the Tom Clements Murder?
Tonight, the Rachel Maddow
Show updated the story she reported regarding the shooting death of Tom Clements. Tom Clements was a high level official with the
Colorado Department of Corrections. He
was shot to death when he answered the front door of his home. I also tracked down this article written by
Jennifer Brown for The Denver Post titled “Widow of Tom Clements angry
and frustrated by murder investigation.
In this article she
further reported the following;
“Clements
and the couple's daughters know who pulled the trigger but do not know who
else, if anyone was behind the plot. And she believes there were others
involved, that Evan Ebel, a recently paroled prisoner who spent much of his
time in solitary confinement, did not act alone. "It's very difficult for me to believe
that he planned and orchestrated and financed this act himself," she said.
El Paso County Sheriff Terry
Maketa, whose agency is leading the investigation, told The Denver Post that
it's a meticulous process that involves trying to penetrate a gang ring whose
members "exist and succeed under anonymity and use threat of violence to
secure that confidence and confidentiality." Maketa said his office is working closely and
efficiently with the Department of Corrections, the FBI and other law
enforcement. "I want her to know we
are not going to give up," the sheriff said. "It would be really easy
to say, 'We know who pulled the gun and shot Dr. Clements.' We could easily
close out our case and move down the road. But that isn't the responsible thing
to do."
The question is who else was involved and who put
together his “hit list”? After listening
to the presentation by Rachel Maddow and the story by Jennifer Brown, I have
come to these conclusions. Please be
aware, I do not claim to know more than anyone else nor do I claim to be some
sort of physic powers. I just listen
closely to the stories and afterwards develop an opinion.
I am sure that the current investigation is heading
this way but the first thing I would do is look directly at those who allowed
Evan Ebel to be released from mostly solitary confinement to the street. It took some official signatures to get him
out. I would also closely check his
parole officer who did not immediately move to have Ebel located and secured
after the removal of his ankle bracelet.
I would also wonder if the threats Ebel were receiving
in prison which made it necessary to get solitary confinement, if those threats
were not initiated by Ben Davis, the leader of the 211 Crew. This would allow Davis the opportunity to
step in for him and endure Ebel to owning him when he is released.
No one really knows but it is worth speculating and surmising
because one never knows what may be true.
This is just my opinion and I could be wrong.
